It depends what kind of secrets you are talking about. I mean, your parents should know about how you are doing in school, and what happened when you were out with your friends, but they have no need to know absolutely everything that happens with you. Tell them the basics to keep them happy and trusting, and if there is something that isn't that important and you don't want to tell them, then don't. But make sure you keep a diary with all of your secrets in it, that way you will always know that is going on since you have decided not to tell them anything.

You shouldn't keep secrets from your parents. They love you and are responsible for you. How can they help you if you need help, if you're keeping secrets?

Yeah but nothing too big cause somethings your parents just don't need to know. But somethings they do. Some people can tell their parents everything but some can't. So it's really normal not to tell your parents somethings about your young adult life they might not need to know it all.

Yes. But there are certain things that should never be secret. Those are things that could cause you health or wellbeing to be in danger.

well if ur a teen im guessing yeah but it depends on the secret n how big it is and ur relationship with ur parents

Well in some cases yes and in others no. If it's about cruses then no, but if it's something serious like grades and health realated problems like drugs and alchol, then yes they need to no so they can help you get help.

Yeah I think it is totally normal its like if they asked you if you were having sex no one would tell there parents that I know I woulden't!
