You truly need to get your glasses. That's very important.
I have a serious eye disease and I know how important this is for you to have glasses.
Your mother would want to know for sure,so tell her now. It's not your problem to worry about food, clothes or anything else.Your mom will deal with it.
It's really great that you want to help her out,but your health comes first and foremost and so does your education. If you get a good education, you'll be able to help her even more when you're able to get a good job.
You may be able to get help paying for glasses since your family is in such a bad situation.Ask your school counsellor for advise on your problem.She/he should be able to get you some help or set you in the right direction.
If you can't get help, then definetly use your money to get your glasses and don't delay any longer.

Your mom brought you into this world and if yo have a normal relationship, she is truly your best Friend for life. You have to tell her, If there was a hole in the roof of your house, would she get it fixed?? Does she keep you warm at night, I'm sure she will do everything she can to get you what you need. I recently answered a question from some kid whining because they couldn't have their own cell phone. Glasses are not a frivolous thing to want, they are a necessity if you truly need them, Go talk to your Mom, as soon as possible!

You have to tell your mom. The longer you wait, the worse your vision will get. Let your mom worry about getting the glasses. You can help her with the money you have but you need those glasses, like yesterday.

there are plenty of programs for low income families that will provide you with glasses. U need to tell her before ur eyes get worse. And if u don't the school will. Teachers are trained to watch for learning disabilities...sooner or later some one will notice. Better sooner than later. You can always go to ur school councilor and get advice on programs....and the school will test your sight also.

Honey, I know you want to help out your family, believe me when I say that I was where you are now. My family was like yours, no money for anything but the bare necessities. But your mom would want to know about this, and as your mom, she would want what is best for you. Go to your mom and talk about this, have your mom check into any free clinics or possibly welfare, just until you get on your feet again. Good luck

I agree, if you are as poor as you sound, there should me medi-caid programs in your state that would cover your glasses. Don't put it off - I worked in the school system and some kids were held back a grade only to find it was because they needed glasses and couldn't do their work because of it. Tell her, and tell her about medi-caid - something should help out. Plus you kids need medical coverage anyways if you already don't have it.

I think that it would be best to tell your mother that you need glasses, and to tell her that you can help pay with some of your money for them, I think this would show your family that you care about them......If you want you can pitch in half the cost and your mother half the cost.
Good Luck =)

Well if you are near-sighted tell your teachers to let you sit up front so you can see better untl you decide what to do about the glasses. But I don't know you might want to tell your mom but pay for it cause clothes and etc. you can have for the rest of your life but sight who knows.

You should tell Mom.
Once you have the prescription but
before you buy the glasses look here:

Most of those 'fancy frame` places are a rip-off.
