INGREDIENTS:
8- 1 ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate
1 cup butter
5 eggs
3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2-1/2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts, toasted
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
Melt chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat; set aside. In a mixer, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla at high speed for 10 minutes**. Blend in chocolate mixture, flour and salt until just mixed.
Stir in the nuts. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. (Don't overbake.) Cool and frost if desired, but that is not necessary.
** It's not required, but this is when it's very nice to own a stand mixer.
This is one of the best brownie recipes.

Homemade brownies that are only made by the brownie queen! Just kidding there is no brownie queen however we could hold a contest to see who's brownie's taste the best. I am pretty sure we can get some volunteers out there to be the judges. lol On the other hand there are some grocery store bakeries that really make yummy brownies as well but I would always say home made is the best mainly because you know what ingredients are going into making them especially if you can't make out the ingredients made by some one else or from a box.

Hi !!!
Here is one recipe that I made a few months ago... it turned out GREAT !!...
Layers Of Love Chocolate Brownies
A finalist in the 2000 Share The Very Best Recipe Contest, this recipe was entered by Alma Carey of Sarasota, FL. Made with a genuine love of chocolate, this decadent brownie features vanilla-flavored white and semi-sweet chocolate morsels, chopped pecans and caramel layered within a rich cocoa batter.
Estimated Times:
Preparation - 10 min
Cooking - 30 min |
Cooling Time - 15 min cooling
Yields - 16 brownies
Ingredients:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, cut in pieces
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 large eggs, divided
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
3/4 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
Directions:
PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 8-inch-square baking pan.
COMBINE flour, cocoa and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract; mix well. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Reserve 3/4 cup batter. Spread remaining batter into prepared baking pan. Sprinkle nuts and white morsels over batter. Drizzle caramel topping over top. Beat remaining egg and reserved batter in same large bowl until light in color. Stir in semi-sweet morsels. Spread evenly over caramel topping.
----------AND AT CHRISTMASTIME, I MAKE THESE...

Mix 1 cup flour and 1/2 tsp salt.
Spoon mixture through a funnel into a 1-quart (4 cup) glass jar with lid.
*Add the following, tapping jar to settle ingredients:
*6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
*3/4 cup granulated sugar
*1/2 cup packed brown sugar
*3/4 cup more granualted sugar, then 6 tablespoons more cocoa.
*Top with 1/2 cup chopped walnuts and 1/4 cup each white and semisweet chocolate chips. (never, ever use chocolate "flavored", only use genuine chocolate chips).
Close lid. Tie the baking instructions tag (below) to jar.
To Bake: Heat oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch square pan. Whisk brownie mix in bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup melted butter, 3 eggs, beaten, and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Spread into pan. Bake until toothpick inserted in center has a few crumbs, 35 minutes. Cool. Makes 12 brownies.
