For those who spread lies about the Catholic Church: their ignorance is their lack of knowledge, their stupidity is their wisdom, and their truth is falsehood.

I really doubt that it is bliss but it certainly is ignorance. Whether or not you agree with another point of view or doctrine is one thing and open debate is good. Condemnation, closedmindedness and personal attacks are certainly not Christlike or Christian.
I am a Protestant. One of my good friends is a Catholic priest. We debate often. He says that I know more about Catholicism than most Catholics. Gaining that knowledge went a long way towards changing my understanding of Catholicism and realizing that many Catholics haven't taken the time to learn about their own faith. For example, many don't know their own belief about the immaculate conception. It is not about Mary being a virgin. That is called the Virgin Birth. I won't explain the other. If you don't know, you should look it up. And those Catholics who worship the Virgin or pray to statues are misinterpreting the real teachings of the Catholic church. Knowledge breeds understanding and maybe even acceptance.
I still don't agree with all of my friend's beliefs but I can still love him as a human being and respect him for his deep faith and belief in his church.
Anger and condemnation are certainly not the way to bring someone around to your way of thinking. And, after all, it is the same God we are loving. BTW, Muslims also worship God, the same God as we Christians do.
So.......ignorance certainly is not bliss for anyone if it brings out anger and hostility. I have yet to meet a blissful hate filled person. For those people, patience is a virtue for a reason. And prayer to help them release the pain they must be feeling.

The problem is not that they are ignorant. The problem is that the a prejudiced. They pre_judge. They think they know and are experts. When actully they are the follows of false doctrine first by Luther and then by others. Jesus said judge not .... Prejudice is the ultimate in what He was speakking against, and unfortuantrly we live in the USA where everyone has the freedoom to search and see the truth, as many including Scott Hahn have. Also because of this freedom, they will be judged according by He who can.
I am a Roman Catholic: WE ARE THE CHURCH THAT JESUS FOUNDED AND THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST US.
Pleas exactly where do I find the sinners prayer in the abriged version of the bible the one that Our Lord dropped from the sky into Luther's lap.
I would like to go easier about this, but too many saints have died defending our faith -- tradition, doctrine and bible.
Check the link below for free information, you shall kow the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Thier ignorance is bliss for them, but not for you. Actually fundamentalists of all religions are willfully and blissfully ignorant of anything that might challenge their beliefs primarily so that they never have to consider the possibility that they may be wrong.
For them religion gives them all meaning and they have thrown themselves into it whole heartedly. This means that not only do they believe in their god but they believe every word of their religious texts and they believe that when they die they will be very amply rewarded for being such perfectly devoted followers. These are people whose lives have no meaning apart from their god.
For this reason remaining ignorant of ideas that might challenge this faith is bliss. Because being cut off from their sole life's purpose would lead inevitably to dispair. At least as far as they are concerned.

I am a Bible-conservative / born-again.
A conservative believes the Bible and is not legalistic about stuff dresses/pants, woman preachers, etc.
A fundamentalist believes the Bible but may go over the edge a little bit about customs and stuff.
A liberal may or may not believe all of the Bible, Kind of picky choosey.
I would say that I'm not ignorant. I may not be well versed on all Catholic theology. However what I do know is that I disagree with a lot of y'all's points.

Ignorance is plain silly. Anyone who comments on something that they have no basic understanding of is being not only stupid but rude.
I am a Christian. I consider myself to believe the Bible and enjoy studying it. God's word is fantastic. Not a book of rules as some people imagine but a record of the work of God in the lives of individuals and the history of nations.
If I were to make any comments on the Catholic Church, it would be through knowledge of what they teach and believe. I am always very open to discuss the teachings of the bible with anyone. There are many things I would agree with in discussion with a Roman Catholic person.
God - One God who created the universe.
Abraham chosen to Be Father of the Israely nation.
Jesus the |Messiah, born a Jew who came to die for the sins of mankind.
Mary was a virgin when she gave birth.
Jesus died on the cross and three days came back to life.
But there are differences.
John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no-one comes to The father, but by me."
Not by works, not by His mother, not by earning a place in heaven. God gives salvation freely and doesn't want us to be brow beaten and try to earn His love. He wants to give it freely if we just ask. No-one has to earn a gift. Ephesians chapter two. God gives salvation, as a free gift because of |His grace. God bless you in your quest for answers

You only need to open your eyes to what Roman Catholicism is all about and the tales that are spread are not lies, but truth. RC's embrace idolatry (they worship their saints and icons), they have lying wonders (bleeding statues, etc., which no-one is permitted to take away to test), rejecting marriage (and turning to their choir boys and others for sexual gratification in the form of sexual abuse), wearing robes of righteousness, trying to take over the role of Christ to whom we are to pray to God through - by the confessional box and many totally unscriptural and un-Biblical practices. They also have a direct link (though secret) to the Free-Masons, which are occult.

People actually believe that they can personally interpret the bible and come to the knowledge of the truth about God, without benefit of the work, worship, sacraments and devotions of the only church that Jesus personally founded, authorized, empowered, and eternally guaranteed, for the express purpose of leading all to salvation in him.
Are they stupid or something?

I have several problems with the Catholic religion. They pray to others, not just God. They have idols in the form of saints. They won't allow others to take communion. It does not say in the Bible that only Catholics are allowed to remember Christ when we eat and drink. Also Catholics would prefer to kill me rather than let me be, even though I don't push my religion down their throats as they do mine.
Blessed Be

Sorry, but I read answer 2 and I don't see hate there. I see difference of opinion, and reference to history which is pretty accurate from history I have studied, but what do you see in the answer that is hateful. Except that he see the Catholic church as a protestant sees it.

As a recovering Catholic, I am fully aware of what I am talking about. I know there are saved Catholics, but one is not saved because they are Catholic.
Just as I know that the Pope is not infallible. The only infallible person who ever lived on the Earth was executed on a cross almost 2,000 years ago.
I also know that Mary was not sinless. The only sinless person who ever lived on Earth was executed on a cross almost 2,000 years ago.
In addition, I know that Mary did not remain a virgin throughout her life. The Bible shows us that she had several children after Jesus was born.
I also know that Mary died on Earth. She was not assumed into Heaven. I also know through Scripture that she was a person in need of a Savior, just like the rest of us. The only person who ever lived on Earth who did not need a Savior, was executed on a cross almost 2,000 years ago.
Nice try at casting untrue aspersions upon us.
