haha my bro says that all the time. I think people use this 1 it's a cover up of their own sexual prefrence. 2 they think it's a cool and hip saying. Just roll your eyes and say ya i gusse that is gay.

I don't know why people say it, but it is offensive. Because everything that's "gay" equals bad. So it's like repeating that gay people are bad constantly. I can't believe parents allow their children to say it.

It is intended to mean "That's so stupid, that's so silly, that's so dumb." It is not the best choice of words to say but in most cases it is not an insult towards anyone homosexual.
I know, people could find a better phrase to describe something they find disagreeable.

I have heard that...i just think it is a saying...since you have to get up early tomorrow...someone might think that was gay...because they WOULD NOT want to get up early..

It's just a phrase that everybody has hopped onto saying. Don't take it in a literal sense, though, it's just something people throw around freely!

When i was in jr. high, we would say that's so "queer". I don't think it's meant to call someone or something "out", I think it's just an expression for saying that's weird or not their way of doing or saying something.
