this is a very easy manuever to learn, but it can definetly save a life. when a victim is choking (no air is passing though the wind pipe), and there is supected foreign object in the windpipe, definetly use this manuever. to use it:
1. walk around to the rear of the choking victim, make sure you both are standing
2. located the victim's belly button and place your right hand in a fist just below it
3. place your left hand over your right hand, covering most of the fist
4. quickly jerk your hands up and in (go up and in at the same time, go in like a diganoal motion)
5. repeat this until the object becomes unloged
but to make sure youre doing it rite, id take a class at the red cross or somthing. it never hurts to have these credits, you never know
hope this helps

Base2ball2boy2 is correct in all but one item.
The right fist (thumb nuckle on the skin) and left hand over it should be placed about one hand width above not below the navel. Look for a spot about 4 inched below the xiphoid process (the center junction of the right and left rib cages) and jerk in and up. Good luck

Someone has to teach you. First Aid class e.g. Red Cross. Kind of hard to describe it here.
