You cannot travel "alone" on a plane until you are anywhere between 12-14 years of age (and it depends on the airline). However, for children under that age (unaccompanied minors who are flying alone), an airline employee is in charge of them, and escorts them from the plane, through security, and to whoever is going to be picking them up. Usually it's up to a parent/guardian to escort the child through security on their initial flight, and then they hand the child over to an airline employee, who is then responsible for making sure said child makes all appropriate connections, and ensures that the person(s) picking up the child are indeed who are supposed to be picking up the kid.
I hope this helps. The process varies slightly from airline to airline, so it's best to talk to whatever airline you'll be sending your child on by themselves, but there are some kids that travel without their parent(s) that are as young as 7 or 8. But I'm not completely sure what the minimum age is to be considered an "unaccompanied" minor.

Yea you can travel alone buddy their is some paperwork done before that if you are under 14 you can travel but your parents sign that they are responsible for everything and all that formalities need to be accomplished. I remember pleading my parents to do all this because traveling was always my passion and at an age of 14 I wanted to travel alone because I've always hated the trips I had earlier made with my parents. But now I am working in a firm that allows me to travel a lot and I am very happy with my life now. I think you should always follow your heart no matter old or if you are too young you just have to follow your heart to lead you towards the right path.

You can travel alone after an age of 14. If u wanna travel before 14 u have to get a written permission from ur parents in which they will take full liability.

At age 14 you can travel alone on a plane. Before that, your parents have to sign something and an employee of the airline will escort you at all times.

If you are potty trained, you can travel without an adult but the airlines will assign an employee to keep an eye on you. However, you cant change planes until your are older. Young children must be on a straight through flight.
