Uhm... to fool the naive into believing conspiracies.

Whether a contrail lingers or disappears quickly is simply dependent on temperature, pressure, and humidity in the air.

The real reason behind so-called "chemtrails" is the same reason behind contrails. They are the same thing. The duration of the contrail depends on the condition of the atmosphere that the airplane is moving through. An athmosphere very very close to forming clouds on its own will have long-lasting contrails. The additional moisture from the jet exhaust is all it takes to make a standing cloud in this case. The quickly evaporating contrails are caused when the atmosphere is a little dryer - still moist enough for the additional moisture to cause condensation, but that condensation quickly evaporates back into the not yet saturated air around it. The relative humidity of the air is dependent mostly on temperature.

What this video is is uneducated assumptions about something they don't understand. They see contrails that disappear and contrails that stay and they think that one must not be natural. Both are perfectly natural. It all depends on the condition of the air that the plane is flying through.

As for the barium and aluminum issue brought up, I think that once the one scientist mentioned that these two elements could be used to seed clouds, they looked at the results of the water tests and saw an increase in these two elements and assumed that the two were connected. I bet I could name any number of elements and the amount of them in any water supply will have increased over time due to a general increase in pollution globally. The yellow dust causing respiratory problems was undoubtedly pollen. The same yellow dust that has caused respiratory problems since long before we could fly.

Every trail in this video shows a contrail as formed by aircraft in the atmosphere. They are all normal and have occurred since high flying planes have been around, long before someone came up with "chemtrails".
There are 3 kinds of contrails, exhaust, aerodynamic, and dissipation trails.
Exhaust contrails are formed when the aircraft passes through air that is nearly saturated with moisture. The heat causes the air to be saturated because warm air is more easily saturated than cold, and ice crystals form, causing visible trails. Depending on the temperature and and amount of saturation, the contrails can linger for hours.
In air that is almost saturated, aerodynamic pressure reduction around airfoils, engine nacelles, and propellers, cool the air leaving condensation trails. These are not as dense or long lasting as the exhaust contrails, but have been known to propagate a layer of cirrus clouds.
Dissipation trails (distrails) are less common, or at least seen, because they are caused by the exhaust of a jet flying through a thin layer of clouds. A strip through the clouds is evaporated and leaves a clear trail.
Look for distrails and come up with some conspiracy on that.

someday people will stop believing in conspiracies. ok that is wishful thinking. elvis is really still alive and working for the government, the military has alien technology that they have used since 1948, lyndon johnson along with the CIA, castro, and the KGB were all behind the assaination of president kennedy, the freemasons are going to take over the world using devil worship, hitler is also still alive and working with bin laden. there are carburettors that will let any internal combustion engine get anywhere from 100 to 200 mpg, and still allow the car to accelerate to 150mph in less than 4 seconds, beoing has an airliner that will carry 1000 at better than mach 3, while keeping ticket prices under $200 for first class but the government wont let them build the plane. if you believe any of these conspiracy theories, then you can go ahead and believe the one about chemicals being dumped into the upper atmosphere by what ever government agency is trying to stop global warming through the use of "chemtrails".

Just think about it for a minute -- airlines are going into bankruptcy all the time, so they're going to subtract paying passengers in order to load the extra weight of nefarious chemicals to spray for unknown reasons into the atmosphere? I suspect that if the government or the multinationalists or the Martians or whoever wanted to poison us, they'd find a much more direct route than spraying junk so high up that nobody knows where it will end up. And they'd concentrate it in the cities where people are jammed together in large numbers, they wouldn't spew it around the empty countryside. Too many conspiracy theorists overlook the lack of a profit motive to the bad guys!

Contrails are ice crystals caused by the release of steam from the combustion of fuel, they will remain crystals until the temperature becomes above freezing. The dissipation of contrails is completely dependent on the wind.
Contrails will dissipate extremely quickly when there is even a little wind sheer, I mean anything, even 1mph. Thats not nearly fast enough for even the slowest plane, or even human skin to detect.
Just try standing outside next to a grill when there appears to be no wind, you'll quickly notice that there is always wind, and even though you might not feel it, it dissipates smoke or steam very quickly.

They're CONTRAILs, abbreviated from Condensation Trail, damnit. They're not chemicals, Lufthansa and Southwest aren't trying to poison us.

They're produced by the release of carbons when hydrocarbons are burned in engines, then mixing with oxygen, to form a trail of what's basically steam in the atmosphere. Sometimes it stays put because of atmospheric stability at the level it was created, sometimes it disappears quickly because of winds at the altitude it was created.

At lower altitudes, piston and turboprop aircraft can manage to whip humidity out of the air by decelerating it on one side of the prop and re-accelerating it on the other side of the prop.

You're right, I apologize. They're really trails of chemical waste that the federal government is trying to discretely dispose of without the United Nations noticing. For your own safety, you should flee to someplace where you don't ever see them.

Do you really believe every thing you see on the Internet? The so called chem trail that is not normal looks to me like someone shot a model rocket off in their backyard. Look closely and the trail appears to come from the ground going up. That is not a contrail, believe me.

Chemtrails is the stupid thing. Contrails! Is the same thing as going outside when its cold blowing air out of your mouth and foggy water vapor comes out. If you belive in chemtrails that just stupid.
