Christians have accepted the Light into their lives. Prior to becoming Christians, all have lived in darkness. The Light is Christ Jesus, who is the Light of the world, who gave His life as a living sacrifice for ours. So Christians do not chase the light, not do they run from darkness. The live in the Light.

THAT is a very powerful question. And an excellent one. My life has had both elements. And its not age related. Meaning, I'm not less in the dark or light as I get older.

What DOES change is my questions, my thoughts...

I know, I'd rather chase the light then run from darkness.

Well thought of question.

Perhaps both. In the light of reality we long for what is absent from this existence. The absence is represented by a void, or darkness. Therefore, in our search for truth and understanding we look for the light that sets our spirit free. A paradox of sorts, huh?

I think I am doing both. Running from the darkness of the human condition and running to the light of human redemption.

Christians follow the light which is Jesus Christ. Knowing God's Word keeps us protected from the darkness.

I guess both are true! But the one thing that we truly are doing is seeking the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. 'He is the Light! and in Him there is no darkness.' Only one who walks in the darkness would understand how truly wonderful it is to have a God who loves you.
