JUST nursing homes???

I'm not certain, but there may be positions for the LPN at hospitals, doctor's offices and home health care agencies as well.

For general career info: www.bls.gov/oco and type into search 'licensed practical nurse'.

Perhaps you can also search your local hospitals as most seem to post job vacancies on them. www.yahoo.com and type into search "hospital" and 'the city and state in which you live.'"

Nursing homes, doctor's offices/clinics, and some smaller hospitals, but most hospitals are moving away from having LPNs on staff.

LPNs are pretty limited in the kinds of opportunities that are available. RNs have many more kinds of opportunities available to them to change positions or specialty areas of practice and have more opportunities for career advancement into administrative and management positions.
