and i have one of those delayed entry program military I.D.'s that they gave me until i leave, would i be able to use it to get a military discount on plane ticket? and if so how much is the discount percentage? thanks!

Probably not very much.

That Shattner guy says that you can save up to 50% on that Price-whatcamacallit...

The Delayed Entry Program IDs are really not worth anything. You are technically not on active duty until the day you show up to MEPS and swear in again. I don't think any airlines will give you anything without proof of being on active duty.

That discount only applies for service between your home and duty assignment, or, between duty assignments.You have to show your orders.
It does not apply for liesure travel.
As to the % I do not know.
Probably to get from home to your assignment, they will give you a travel voucher for transportation.
You hand it to the airline, they give you a ticket., You put out no money of yourown.

If you're taking terminal leave, you're still technically in the military. You still have your ID card. You can still go any post, shop at the commissary or the PX, and get military discounts at places that have them.

Contact a few different airlines. It all depends on them . If they do, it could be 10-15% if you're lucky.
