There is one more variable: the cable (most likely)
You need another source, which you know works (say a DVD player) and another cable, then you try combinations.

I can't tell from your explanation, but have you plugged a blu ray or game system into your tvs HDMI port. If so, do either of them work? If you have plugged other HDMI items into the tv and they don't work either, turn off the tv, unplug it for 10 minutes. Replug it, plug in the HDMI item, turn it on, does it work. If nothing works, and no item plugged into the HDMI ports work, its the tv. All four HDMI ports are located on the same board, so they can all fail at the same time if the board shorts out or just dies. Answer: Try to borrow a blu ray player or game machine so you can test the HDMIs. That's the only way you'll know if it's the HDMI board or the cable signal. The AV inputs are a different board so they don't help to test the HDMI board. If any of the other HDMI items work, it's the cable.

Hi there,
As someone said before, you need another source with HDMI output to check your TV like a DVD player with HDMI technology. If you gave a little more detail I could have suggested something specific.
Have you tried hooking up component or any other video method to check you TV? Please do that and see what happens. If the video is OK for other inputs then it is most likely your box that is not working right. It could also be you HDMI cable, like a broken wire inside. If you have a continuity checker you should be able to test you cable. I hope your audio OK because the audio cicuitry is totally seperated from you digital video system.
Good luck!

No diagnostic tool for HDMI...of course you can get a DVD player with HDMI output and use that as your tester....
I would suggest calling Cable about this....maybe they'll come out and replace the HDMI cable...I got one free from my company.

I know nothing about your TV input thing, but your cable company should be able to tell you with a phone call if your box is OK or not. Good luck! Technology is wonderful till it breaks, isn't it?

Contact your cable company for a service call, in most areas for a problem like this there would be no charge for the tech to come check it out. The other option would be to take them both to your local office and replace them in one stop.
