I dont generally have a problem getting super, super upset- everyone has natural ups & downs.....but I must say, during my pregnancy I have been either extremely happy or very rarely, but heavily depressed...like beyond what I would ever been normally capable for feeling....and I can be a pretty melancolie gal on ocassion.Perhaps its your hormones? Plus, who ever said that being in a relationship & having kids was the sole source of happiness?

I know for some people that is all they need, but I know I would be super bummed if all I had going for me was a good family situation and nothing else...perhaps you should take up a hobbie or do something you enjoy, sans the lovely family? You are still your own person...maybe you just need some "me" time....good luck!

It could be your hormones. But also, try talking to your boyfriend and tell him how you feel. If he's a great guy like you say he should be there for you 100% and make you feel better after youre done talking. If that doesn't help, talk to your doctor, you may have some type of depression. I went through that when I was pregnant with my son. His father left while I was pregnant and I felt fat and miserable and unwanted which lead me to believe that I wasn't happy, we all go through it! Hang in there!

I think its normal to get a little depressed when you are pregnant. You start to worry about the future and how it will change. I think women feel guilty about this because they feel like they should be happy all the time. If you were happy all the time, you wouldn't appreciate it at all. Of course you will worry and feel sad sometimes. As long as it doesn't consume you, I think it is healthy to feel this way sometimes and reflect on what you may or may not need to do for your future.

It might be the hormones. I'm 10 weeks with number 2...My husband is wonderul my daughter is great and we were ttc this one and there are still times that I"m not happy. The only thing I can think is hormones.
Though it could be depression you might want to talk to your doctor about it.

Could it have to do with the fact that he is your b/f and not your husband. You might be concerned that he might leave. It is harder to leave when you are actually married. Pregnant women also have hormones that are out of whack and can cause depression. Talk to your doctor.
