Get a cold wet teabag , put some tee tree oil on it then put that on the table- that stops them coming in my garden so it should work!

Either that - or get a big bowl of oranges - cats hate the citrusy smell!

Repetition. You might have to remove the cat from the table a few hundred times before she eventually 'gets it'.

You could also try putting strips of double-sided tape on the table top for a while. She won't like the feel of the tape on her paws and should stop bothering after a while.

Finally, make sure she is getting enough attention and exercise, and has some fun things to play with and climb on. When you remove her from the table, try redirecting her to something more appropriate.

Is the table the highest piece of furniture in the room? Cats like being up high, it makes them feel secure and gives them a good vantage point to watch everything else going on around them. Does she have a cat tree or could you offer her another alternative like a shelf or a book case that she could be allowed to sit on? Cats dislike the smell of menthol or eucalyptus oil. Either rub it on neat or add a few drops to water and spray it on the table surface as this should deter her.

Keep putting her down when she gets up there. Even if this is 21 times in a row. It's going to eventually sink in that the table isn't the place she's allowed when you're eating.

Polish your table with a citrus scented furniture polish. Cats dislike citrus smell.

Also make sure your table is clean of any food after you've eaten, down to a good swipe with a wet cloth, even better if you can find a lemon scented antibacterial spray to do it with.

Put something with a strong scent around the table...like pieces of onions or vicks. Cats hate those smells and it will often make them run off.

when ever my kat does somthing i dont like i pick her up and put her in a room where she can get to her own food but not in the room where she's naughty i have lerend to predict when i need the cat to stay away from me or something else and she spend most of her time on the liveing room or kitchen when i want to be alone but every time i pick her up to put her away from things i love her up as well as when its safe for her to come back in
since she needs love and fair treatment i used to just shout at her but realied getting angry mens i would have to chase her out of the room rather than pick her up or use her toy ball that she loves so much

tell her off, pick her up and put her in another room with the door shut. Pets are like children they need to be taught and eventually they will learn if you carry on being firm with them. Also she may come to the table because she is hungry.

I used to use the squirt bottle until I also started making a hissing sound when I sprayed it. They now react to the sound alone. There's a reason why they say curiosity killed the cat.
