I think its fine and all to believe in God and Jesus or whoever, but where exactly does it say in the bible that you HAVE to worship Jesus. I mean, how can someone have the nerve to say that "if you don't go to church once a week, you're going to hell". Where do people get this stuff from? Why does there even have to be organized religion? Why can't people just believe in Christ (if you're Christian, I assume), read their bible, and leave it at that?

If you do go to church, why do you feel the need to congregate with other people and get preached to?

It exists because of idealism and a desire on the part of idealists to impact society. They seek to INSPIRE -- to put "spirit in" others.

People who need to congregate are people who need the security. People who need to be preached to are essentially bad people trying to get good. If they don't practice critical thinking, they won't see that idealism isn't always good. Hitler, for example, was an idealist too.

Religion is basically a man made belief, it is needed in this world for man to survive. It gives hope. Without it , think about . If someone is so down and on the last thread, and there is nothing that can help em or anyone that can help em. Then god comes into the picture. The person then has hope to get in a better mood. To rise, stand up and see the world in a more better way.
Religion brings people together and brings joy...People do beleive in christ, but not all religions agree since in christianity, there is a belief of the three ghost and christ as god, and mary giving birth while a virgin.
When people say god, are they referrinig to christ or a god? which is which? Most religions say christ cant be god, maybe son of god. In many religions christ is a prophet. But in christianity, other religions figures are not mentioned, as anytype of figure.

Different religions are all man made also, there is one god, and every religion beleives in god, there is not a diff god for each religion.

The Bible is too complicated and there are many translations so i don't bother reading it. You don't have to worship God if you don't want to.You won't go to Hell if you miss Church once a week.I go to Mass but i don't get preached to.I believe in Christ but i don't need the Bible to tell me.Religion exists because it defines what you believe in and has certain rules to follow .Each Religion has its own ideas on how to worship God.But you don't need religion to believe in and to worship God in the first place.

I think you should join my "Religion"because it doesn't have all the restrictions that are mentioned in your question!!!

Whoever has the nerve to say "if you don't go to church once a week, you're going to hell" might have nerve, but not correct facts. You don't have to go to church to be a Christian. If Jesus has come into your life, then you want to worship Him. Church is about fellowship with other believers, and it's about learning and worship, but it is not required to enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

The bible says you have to believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior to be right with God but it doesn't say anywhere that you have to go to church. It says not to forsake gathering together with other believers. I have been a Christian for 30 years and have searched for a church to belong to but never found one. So we have a bible study in our house once a week in order to gather together as the bible commands. You don't have to go to church to be a Christian. Being a Christian is a personal thing, it's accepting Him into your heart and having a personal relationship with Him. It's got nothing to do with church. Don't even get my going on today's churches. I'm sure you don't want to hear what I will say about them.

Church is not mandated for going to heaven. And, not going to church certainly does not send anyone to hell. However, as a Christian, it is natural to want to take time to fellowship with other believers, study the Word of God, and be challenged to continue in the ways of Christ. It's not something that Christians have to do, but it's something that all Christians should want to do. Why do people that like to read go to the library?

I am a Christian and I don't think you HAVE to go to church to go to heaven. It does not say that in the bible. The bible is the basis for wrong and right. It does say that you should go to church though. A personal relationship with Christ is all you need. If you have that and never step a foot into church, then I will see you in heaven!

No where in the Bible does it say you HAVE to go to church, because you don't. You can be a Christian and worship God and live for Him, and not go to church and still get into Heaven. The reason for going to church is to learn more and to fellowship with others who beleive in and are dealing with issues just like you are.

From the time man & his intellectual development was in it's infant stage, he was able to look around and realize that his world had many mysteries he could not easily explain.

Science & geology was not yet within his grasp & so he attributed the workings of his world to higher powers.

That which was not easily explained was thought to be the will of a deity or beings which man could praise in time of well being - or fear in time of tragedy.

Today we have the technology & knwoledge to better understand our world & to a certain extent, that which is beyond. We now know that most of what happens to us is the result of our own actions or natures.

Religion is a primative notion - one which many cling to either as a crutch as a result of their shortcomings or out of ignorance.

Those who preach & run organized religion might very well not believe that whitch they ramble on about, but the opportunity for financial gain is where their faith lies - the selling of a dream to those who crave it.

i think it says some where in the bible that you need to gather round the ones that think like you so you are not tempted by the ones that do not i think john or peter said something like that

but the problem with that is that those idiots depend so much on the stupidity they are fed that they loose the ability to think on their own and if they do they have to label it as good or evil and for giving upo that ability

when i used to fallow organized religion i faund it hard because i thought to much on my onw i asked queshtions of why and where i would want to know passed what was allowed i wanted to experience on my self so i told them my views they said they where wrong i got bored so meh

organized religion is all a thing to get ppl as sheep to forget thinking on their own so that those in power stay that way

or what ever those are my views go into the world and find your own and compare then tell me what truth is

People gather & congregate, it's human nature. When a community of spiritual people, who believe the same thing, gather in one place to talk about that common spiritual belief, then you have a church & a religion. It's unavoidable.
