You may need to reread the question....I never reffered to the Holy Spirit as a it at all. I do believe in the Holy Spirit as well and I would refer to him as a him if you asked.

I believe you Jehovah Witness's are all in a cult.

According to your own gospel only 144,000 believers will get into heaven and you have millions in your church. Assuming no one has ever gone to heaven then you have about a 0.00024% or less chance. Good luck, and don't come knocking at my door trying to talk about religion with your Watchtower in hand.

You Jehovah's refuse:
- To serve in the military
- Salute the flag of the United States of America
- Celebrate Christmas, birthdays or other holidays
- Give or accept Blood transfusions but can receive plasma
- Organ transplants

You used to refuse vaccinations but once again your church has changed it's mind and now it's acceptable.

JR: Enlighten me.... Wow can you just imagine what the USA would be like if we were all JWs? ::rolls eyes:: Unfortunately to be a great nation, military is a necessity. War happens, it's been happening since the beginning of time. Thank GOD there's not more unpatriotic people like the JW's floating around.

I guess you all just want to sit back and enjoy our great nation but will do nothing to help protect it? That's pure crap.

The JW's have changed there stance on blood products time and time again. To whatever suit their leaders families needs.

I personally know one family that let their son die because of their cult connection with the JW's. He was only 17, it's disgusting!

You sound like you have been programmed well. Congrats!

JR, what I gathered from your answer is that you believe there is a Holy Spirit but He doesn't live in you. You also referred to Him as an it, which leads me to believe that the Holy Spirit is some sort of ..well... "it."

Catlover, instead of believing what other Christians believe, I recommend you believe in the Word of God. It'll stay true and accurate FAR more than another believer.

I believe that God can do and accomplish His will be means of His holy spirit.

I believe that God has promised his spirit to faithful followers of His Son.

I believe that by means of God's spirit we can withstand the temptations and pressures of this world, so that we can have the power beyond what is normal.

I believe that God's spirit can 'dwell' (biblical definition) in us helping us to live our lifes in a way that pleases God.

I believe that God's spirit is the most powerful force in the universe.

I believe that without God's spirit we are powerless and at the mercy of Satan and the many lies he has spread.

Harper’s Bible Dictionary

Baal / Bel ,

“Baal translates into English is Lord”
(Do you worship the Lord?)

Baal is the offspring (son) of El, (Hebrew for God)”
(Do you worship the Son of God?)

Baal is worshiped as a triad / trinity.”
(Do you worship a trinity of Gods?)

(Do you worship Baal?)

Where did I hear this teaching recently?

Sounds like a teaching of Satan, What do you think?

Who is fulfilling this prophecy?

(Jeremiah 23:27) 27 They are thinking of making my people forget my name by means of their dreams that they keep relating each one to the other, just as their fathers forgot my name by means of Ba´al.

(Psalm 83:18) 18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Even if ‘Sam’ is a Grandfather, Father, and Son, Sam still has only one will, unless he is mentally disturbed or Sam is three different individuals. Sam Sr., Sam Jr., & Sam III.

It is by God’s will we have salvation.

I think too many people Judge everyone else and instead of letting people believe what they want try to force their religion on them, of course theres a God, no man could have created all "he" has, there is a piece of God in each of us, seeing "him" in each other is where we fail

Looks like everything was deleted, so I guess I have to retype everything once again (most of it anyway).

===Military ===
Mark 12:17
Then Jesus said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's."
And they were amazed at him.

Matthew 26:52
"Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Luke 6:27
"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

===Saluting the Flag===
Jehovah's Witnesses view this as a act of worship. They only give praise and worship God only.

Matthew 4:10
Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'

Note: Jehovah was replaced with "Lord" in the NT

Acts 5:29
Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than men!

===Christmas===
We can be sure about two things
1 - Jesus was not born on Dec. 25th
2 - Jesus' birthday was never celebrated in the Bible.

“Most of the Christmas customs now prevailing in Europe, or recorded from former times, are not genuine Christian customs, but heathen customs which have been absorbed or tolerated by the Church. . . . The Saturnalia in Rome provided the model for most of the merry customs of the Christmas time.”—Encyclopædia of Religion and Ethics (Edinburgh, 1911), edited by James Hastings, Volume III, pages 608, 609.

U.S. Catholic of December 1981, page 32, notes:
“The Romans' favorite festival was Saturnalia, which began on December 17 and ended with the ‘birthday of the unconquered sun' (Natalis solis invicti) on December 25. Somewhere in the second quarter of the fourth century, savvy officials of the church of Rome decided December 25 would make a dandy day to celebrate the birthday of the ‘sun of righteousness.' Christmas was born.”

===Birthdays and Holidays===
“The various customs with which people today celebrate their birthdays have a long history. Their origins lie in the realm of magic and religion. The customs of offering congratulations, presenting gifts and celebrating—complete with lighted candles—in ancient times were meant to protect the birthday celebrant from the demons and to ensure his security for the coming year. . . . Down to the fourth century Christianity rejected the birthday celebration as a pagan custom.”—Schwäbische Zeitung (magazine supplement Zeit und Welt), April 3/4, 1981, p. 4.

“The Greeks believed that everyone had a protective spirit or daemon who attended his birth and watched over him in life. This spirit had a mystic relation with the god on whose birthday the individual was born. The Romans also subscribed to this idea. . . . This notion was carried down in human belief and is reflected in the guardian angel, the fairy godmother and the patron saint. . . . The custom of lighted candles on the cakes started with the Greeks. . . . Honey cakes round as the moon and lit with tapers were placed on the temple altars of [Artemis]. . . . Birthday candles, in folk belief, are endowed with special magic for granting wishes. . . . Lighted tapers and sacrificial fires have had a special mystic significance ever since man first set up altars to his gods. The birthday candles are thus an honor and tribute to the birthday child and bring good fortune. . . . Birthday greetings and wishes for happiness are an intrinsic part of this holiday. . . . Originally the idea was rooted in magic. . . . Birthday greetings have power for good or ill because one is closer to the spirit world on this day.”—The Lore of Birthdays (New York, 1952), Ralph and Adelin Linton, pp. 8, 18-20.

===Blood===
Acts 15:29
You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.

The Bible is clear on how we should view blood, and that is to Abstain from it...

Since blood contains more things other than red blood cells, its ok to use things such as Plasma.
