I know that we are not together, but he hasn´t even replied to say that he is pleased, (this would be the polite thing to do), and considering that he was asking me how things are a week ago, why is he blowing hot and cold??

look hes your ex, is the baby his? if so what kind of guy would leave you to bring up his baby on your own? and if it isnt then i suggest you just forget about him, it won't do you or the baby any good thinking about him and worrying about why or why not he hasn't said anything. He may have been trying to suss out if he is the dad, or whether you are seeing someone else and they are the dad. He may also be panicking a bit, so i would suggest not contacting him just yet, let him take it in (if he is the father) and wait for him to contact you. He probably needs time for it to sink in. If he isnt the dad, you could contact him and tell him, so that he isnt trying to deal with an issue that isnt his.
