this is the most sense ive heard all day. why exactly are there so many sects of the same religion that all worship the same god, the same trinity? i can understand the division between catholicism and protestantism in general, but why do people make such a big deal out of whether they are baptist or methodist?

Your question assumes there's a properly suited and incorrect thank you to have confidence. yet all non secular concept is by using definition in accordance with faith, and as such there isn't any thank you to _know_ that what you think is authentic. If we _could_ coach the life of a god, and additionally coach that this god grew to become into of one specific faith, then yeah, there may well be no desire for various religions and denominations. (it fairly is to no longer say that individuals nonetheless would not have confidence otherwise, yet it fairly is yet another tale.) Do you think that Hindus, with their concept in diverse gods, have an incorrect concept purely as you think your view of a single god with specific characteristics as defined in the bible is the properly suited one? of direction. and that they experience the comparable way in the direction of your ideals. So who has the fairly "properly suited" concept? no certainly one of religion can say for constructive, because of the fact in the event that they might, it would not be faith. I _do_ understand your frustration with non secular dogma. especially faith reasons extra harm in the worldwide than reliable. And the actuality that anybody believes that their and basically their concept is the authentic & properly suited one performs no small area in that. yet i might argue that non secular dogma and concept are inseparable. as lengthy as you carry some concept in a god or gods, you in addition to mght carry some concept as to the character of your god(s). perchance your god is compassionate, perchance he's vengeful. perchance he's loving, perchance he's indignant. perchance he's strict, perchance he's tolerant. perchance he's forgiving, perchance he's unforgiving. 2 human beings might declare to have confidence in the comparable god, yet ideals are as unique as snowflakes. And as quickly as concept enters the accepted public section in any way, bam, it fairly is a dogma. So the only the right thank you to rid the worldwide of non secular dogma, may well be the two for each individual to maintain their non secular ideals to themselves (and maximum religions all yet limit this), or to do away with religions altogether. And at an identical time as i think that a worldwide without religions may well be much extra rational, non violent and compassionate, I even have confidence that in the present day in our evolution maximum human beings are actually not yet waiting to surrender faith. So regrettably, we are caught with faith and its divisive dogmas for now.

Yes, but it gets so confusing and tedious with so many differences and doctrines. We should go back to the basics, faith in Christ for the remission of our sins and following him in our lives. All good things will stem from that.

Not possible. These people travel in packs, or herds if you like. They may splinter but they're all still blathering the same nonsense at the same time.

No. They need the ritual and belief that god will reward them if they behave or punish them if they misbehave to keep them coming back.

It is just variations on the rituals, rewards, punishments, what is bad and what is good that separate religions.

People are never happy. I fear religion will be with us until the end of our time.

Religious people don't grab on to doctrine, we grab on to God and Jesus, They are what keep us strong, their love for us, and our love for them keeps us together.

This is what makes us happy. This is what makes us who we are, it is not our church, it is our relationship with God and Jesus.

What shall a person believe? Shall an individual believe as he/she sees fit for themselves? Or is there a higher standard to live by given by GOD?
