It wasn't banned, but I won't watch the whole thing. It is a distortion of what we truly believe.
Ed Decker is ignored by most of the Anti-Mormons for his egotistical ravings. He keeps trying to convice people that members of the L.D.S. Faith are trying to kill him.
Decker's former associate, Dick Baer said that, "Ed has a penchant to sensationalize, embellish on facts and center on bizarre issues to try to shock people."(February 25th 1993, Salt Lake Tribune). Jerald and Sandra Tanner and Bob Passantino have said that his writings grossly misrepresent Mormonism, and thereby dilute his message and offend Mormons without attracting them to evangelical Christianity. The Tanners, themselves prominent critics of the LDS Church, have noted what they contend are inaccuracies and errors in some of Decker's works. When Decker was denounced by Jerald and Sandra Tanner, he went so far as to accuse them of being in the pay of the LDS Church and even of being "demonized" themselves. Decker and his associates offered to exorcise the Tanners' demons, and expressed great sadness when they refused.
Critics also point to Decker's first wife's allegations that he was excommunicated for adultery and wife abuse - contrary to his claim that it was due to changes in Decker's religious beliefs. This allegation has been denied by Decker but appears in court documents that he did not dispute at the time of his divorce. Decker has since remarried.
The actual Decker excommunication record is on file at Utah State University Special Collections Library

The Cartoon was never made by the LDS Church, you find me where it says it was. It's only a cartoon that Anti-Mormons use to put down LDS. There are so many things inaccurate about that movie. It's just something that people made to entertain gullible people like Oregon Flower, which seems to think that if you leave a religion and make videos about it, then they have to be true, because you were once a member, and of course an ex member of a church would never say anything bad about the Church that they left because of who knows what, so it has to be true. What a joke.

With all due respect to all faiths, if Mormons can believe in the tall tales of a man who based his work in part on a few historical facts and well-known myths, why shouldn't all other religions be viewed as skeptically? Assuming the video is true in how it interprets what Mormons base their faith on, that is.

something you may desire to appreciate with reference to the LDS church... they do no longer BAN their members from any form of studying. i've got been a member of the Church my total existence (30 years) and that i've got in no way heard of anybody asserting, "You easily might desire to no longer study this e book." in accordance to my memory, not one of the LDS prophets have ever banned something at an identical time as talking at accepted convention. in spite of the fact that if, what we are taught is to apply reliable judgment and the Holy Spirit to study from the final books. I actual have considered that caricature previously. it fairly is crammed with distortions and 0.5 truths. it fairly is not worth watching two times. Your declare that Mormons banned the caricature is untrue. i think the caricature is an attempt to discredit the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saitns - a faith that teaches its followers to attempt to repent of all of their sins, in humility. i think of it somewhat is the reason human beings make up those lies - they do no longer choose to appreciate what's physically powerful and authentic, because of the fact then they might experience judgment of right and incorrect-guaranteed to surrender their own sins. "... placed your have confidence in that Spirit which leadeth to do reliable—yea, to do justly, to stroll humbly, to decide righteously..."

Oregon Flower: Ed Decker is an ex mormon for Jesus type so I don't care for his character at all.
As for your pagan so called symbols, it isn't at about Baal.
I wish your antimormons website had an old statue of Baal to show.
The Sun, the Moon, and The Stars are symbols of the three degrees of Glory we LDS believe in.
For answer to the Godmakers Movie..

and as for Ed Decker and others:

and For the Manuscript Found theory about the Book Of Mormon:

As for the bigoted people who think Mormon don't know about their own doctrine and History? The problem is you don't know Mormon doctrine at all, much less your own protestant version of Christianity.
Edit: Jeri, this is a complete lie and fabrication on what Mormons believe.

From what I understand, not much is inaccurate. I think many LDS members are not fully aware of their beliefs, or don't want them known to those that are not involved already.

Thats easy, it exposes them for the frauds and abuser of children and woman that they are.
Would you want a cartoon about your faith that depicted your god as an alien basically and that you would become a god in the end if you kept with their faith?
It is one of the more ridiculous ones out there that is for sure.

The fact that it's so accurate and the film was made by Ed Decker (whom Mormons hate because he exposed them for the cult they are) are basic reasons why the LDS folks don't like it.
If you check out each point with their own documents and "scripture," you'll find that the film is right on target.
EDIT for Jeri: It isn't a "fabrication", since Ed Decker is a former Mormon and knows exactly what he's talking about. So yes, it's definitely an embarrassment to Mormonism, thus they teach their followers that it's a "lie." They certainly can't admit it's the truth without the entire house of cards tumbling down.
