No and no.

Even if we wanted to deport all the illegal aliens, we would have to have as much manpower as we have in Iraq at the moment, we'd have to track them all down, and it would cost us billions to get it done.

That's to say nothing of what would happen to our economy - after all while they aren't paying taxes, they are spending money, and many are providing valuable services in the work that many of them do. Not to stereotype too much, but the food service, sanitation and farming industries would be crippled by the lack of workers if they all were deported.

That's not to say nothing should be done. After all, our resources ARE finite, and to enjoy benefits our country offers, you SHOULD pay taxes.

The government should (but won't):

1. lock down the borders to prevent new aliens
2. grant amnesty to anyone here who has a job and is not disabled or otherwise able to provide for themselves.
3. send back anyone who has a criminal record either here or in their own country.
4. wipe the slate clean, enable them to gain citizenship, but start charging income tax immediately.

It's easy to say we are just following the law, as the guy below me states, but it's really not that simple. Plus 95% of us speed, so many of us break the law every day.

Some will say that we have plenty of hardworking Americans to fill those jobs, but actually our created welfare state where we pay offspring of those hardworking Americans who did those jobs up through the 60's, to sit on their bums and collect checks and foodstamps.

In other words, our own bleeding-heart liberal legislation actually created the need that illegals filled. Restrict welfare to a maximum of 6 months, make food stamps only available to the truly impoverished, and yet still, only those unable to work, and then you'd start to see a return of the work ethic our parents had.

You should also remember that unless you are Native American, then chances are your forfathers were illegal aliens too, if they came over in the 1700s.

You should be happy the Native Americans didn't have an "immigration policy"

Illegal immigrants should deported if they are threat to other people and they must have evidence that they have commited a crime and stand trial. I don't like the fact that people can be so cruel to someone from another country just because they want a better life. We are all the same race.

All that are found should be regardless of how long they have been here. There is a right way and a wrong way to do things and in a country of laws, such as the USA, then they should be followed and supported.

If you want to come to this country then you should follow the rules and do it the legal way.

Answer about illegal immigration: Either enter legally. Or be a low life, unwanted, bottom feeding criminal.

Its your choice.

My choice is to arrest and deport.
