a very private person"...and then HOPEFULLY...they will "get that",...and not ask personal questions...anyway...what if someone asked you a very personal question about sex and it was AT WORK!!!...geez!!!...Are you allowed to say nicely.."my that is personal?"..or should you tell your Supervisor???

If a question makes you feel uncomfortable, there's nothing wrong with saying "that's personal." I don't think you need to mention it to your supervisor, unless this person is harassing you.

Sex is not an appropriate topic for the workplace. You should inform the person that you find that topic inappropriate. If it continues, report the person to your supervisor.

Here are some things you can say.
"I'm sorry; I don't think that's an appropriate topic for the workplace. Let's talk about something else."

look at them like they're nuts and ask "Why on earth would you want to know that?!?!?!" No matter what answer they give you just say "Oh." If they ask again then give them the same response as before. It usually doesn't take long for them to realize that you're politely not going to answer.
Or you could tell them "If you forgive my rudeness in ignoring your question I'll ignore your rudeness in asking it."

Nah..just respond "i dont feel comfortable answering that..or" that's really none of your business" Im sure the person didnt mean to offend
