First of all - DON'T punish them. Bed wetting can be a sign of a significant medical condition. Your first step is to take them to their pediatrician and have them refer you to a ped. urologist. They can do many tests and let you know if this is medical or psychological.
Sometimes, children might accidentally wet the bed once and from then on become so stressed out about it it continues to happen. in this case they need to see a counselor alone and with you.
The most important thing is to let them know that this doesn't change how you feel about them, that you still love them with all your heart. You would be surprised at the number of children that are convinced that they are not loved because of something like this. So try to focus on other things. Before bedtime set a certain time when they can no longer drink liquids. Don't make a big issue about it at bedtime. They are probably thinking about it anyway. Kids don't like waking up to wet smelly sheets anymore than we like changing them so they truly want to solve this problem. Don't forget to hug them and tell them you love them often.
Best wishes - I will say a prayer
God bless

My boys had the same problem. I took them to the doc just to be sure there were no medical problems. The doc said that when they are that young and they are asleep, it is almost as though they are knocked out. They sleep very heavily at that age and it just happens. Make sure you don't make them feel bad about it. We had mattress protectors on their beds. Also, we left out a set of clean underwear and pajamas and a sleeping bad so they could change and have a dry place to sleep if they had an accident. They could always come and tell us of course, but after I found them shivering and balled up on the floor a couple times because they didn't want to wake us, I decided on this option.

I agree with fishergirl. my best friend had that problem growing up and she was about 10 when she stopped wetting the bed due to medical problems she had. Until then she just always wore pullups to bed and eventually outgrew her bed wetting problems.

First start with taking a look at their liquid intake before bed. Cut them off 2 to 3 hour before bedtime would be a good start.
Also...are they just lazy maybe? Nicely...make them strip their sheets and put new ones on, they may realize that it's easier to walk to the toilet then to put the bedding on and off.
They are old enough to do this on their own.
If that doesn't work then I would talk to your peditrician.
Hope it works.

Cut off liquids 3 hours before bed and or have them eat a spoonful of peanut butter before bed.
