into heaven. I have experienced multiple losses in the last few years, starting in 01 when my brother died suddenly in a motorcycle accident. I've been struggling with greif during this time. I've read some books that helped somewhat but the main thing that hangs over me like a cloud is my brother and I'm not sure where he is. The books never address this. There is guilt that I didn't talk to him enough about the plan of salvation and see where he was. My sister thinks he made it because they went to church together as children on a church bus. My dad was an atheist and my mom wasn't a Christian at that time. They are 9 & 11 years older than me. She is a Christian and goes to church. He didn't go to church and there are other reasons that I question if he was a Christian also. I welcome advice from anyone who has experienced a similar situation in helping to deal with this. Thank for your time. God bless

I don't know if my late brother Al was saved.

He died a painful death this summer, leaving his widow child-less and alone. Pray for God to comfort Lisa, and all his friends who loved him.

Al was my only sibling, and both our parents are dead. I am the only one left. I don't want to think about it right now, let alone talk about it. He seemed to be angry with God,

The bible teaches that with God all things are possible. The bible further teaches that blessed is the man to whom God will not impute sin. The fact that your brother didn't go to church, pay tithes, or that you didn't witness to him, don't mean that he didn't obtain eternal life. The fact is you won't know until judgment. But unless your brother was completely lost, there is hope for you to hold on to. But the most important thing, and the only life you have control over is your own. Live a life that is pleasing to God, and if your brother earned eternal life, you can too.

One of the things Jesus did best was to say nothing when nothing was required. You can change nothing - so say nothing. "I'm so sorry for your loss" - that's the best thing. Give them a hug, and walk away - even if you feel compelled to say more, no matter how hard it is - bite your tongue, squeeze their hand in a comforting way and walk away. You don't need to voice any kind of opinion at all - after all, you don't know what really happened between him and God in the last moments of his life. And most of all - right now, you can't make any difference in his eternal fate - voicing what you think to be true would only hurt those who are already hurting. God be with you and the family.

I'm so sorry for these feelings you are experiencing. i do wonder sometimes at a lot of things. fortunately i was raised in a christian home and have the faith that my family now is going to heaven when they die.
the one exception is an uncle who took his life in '96. at his funeral the pastor said that he was there when he prayed the prayer to accept Jesus into his heart. but i still struggle with the suicide thing. i know that once you've asked Jesus into your heart, He won't leave you...but i always wonder you know...why didn't he take his worries and concerns to the Lord...why was he selfish and take his own life? it just encourages me though to live a life that makes others wonder what the difference is. how can this chick be going thru such turmoil and yet still have a smile on her face, still have hope?! that's the way...spread the good news so that you don't have to feel guilty for their soul..you plant the seed and let others water it and watch it grow.
many blessings to you on your journey.
you are not alone in this.

blessings.

Hello there
I have read the entire bible several times. What I see threaded throughout the whole thing is the very heard of God the Father. His mercy endures forever. He is just and fair, fair and just. That is mentioned over and over again. Look closely at Acts 17:30.....it says God overlooks "times of ignorance" In this whole Passage Paul is preaching and I believe he was addressing the subject of whether people can be saved or not even though they did not acknowlege Jesus with their lips in front of someone, here on the earth. The very heart of God is to save people who will receive him and he would never condemn ANYONE to hell who did not have a chance to receive him on this earth. He will show up between here and the here after and give them their chance to reject or deny him. Good and Evil is obvious to us all.........God commandments are written on our hearts and that's why so many (other) religions seem similar to Christianity. It's coming from the very truths God wrote on men's hearts..........we who are Christian proclaim Jesus because that is what we are supposed to do. To whom much is given, (knowledge of JESUS) much is required and we must proclaim it. That does not mean we are in some ELITE group that are the only ones saved. Since God wants all men saved we know he will do everything possible to save them............so I would look forward to seeing your brother in Heaven if I were you. **And Wondermus you are going to get a visitation from the Holy spirit one of these days.

I would remind you that nothing is impossible for God...in fact, Jesus even demonstrated that He has the power to go beyond the grave to save one who has passed on. You will find this account in Matthew chapter 9. A man has asked Jesus to come and heal his boy who is sick. Along the way, Jesus takes time to heal another lady. Then the man gets word that His son has already died. At that point, surely the man had given up hope. But Jesus showed the man that He has even power beyond death....raising the child to life from the grave!

Pray that Jesus might make a way for them yet. God Bless.

My dad died when I was 4 (before I understood what it meant to have a relationship with Christ), and I know for sure he made it (my mom says he was one of the best Godly men on earth).
My favorite math teacher died when I was in the 7th grade - in the middle of the year. I'm not sure if she made it...She was Mormon. And while some Mormons really do believe in Christ, I'm not sure about her...I just hope I get to see her again.

Jesus came so that none would perish! This is what you have to have faith in. His mercy and grace cover a multitude of sins. Those who have good within them are given a second chance, on the other side in the mansion worlds. Hold fast in your knowledge. You should pray for those who have died. Especially, if you feel they need your prayers. This WILL help them on the other side. Hold fast in your faith.

Don't let this thought bother you. The truth be known, everyone who dies goes to the same place with the exception of those chosen by God to serve in heaven. All who die rest in the grave, their pains and sufferings stop, there is nothing that survives death, we do not have a soul but are a soul and as Ezekiel 18:4 states that the soul dies and Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 explains to us, that there is no work nor devising no conscience after death, we cease to exist, so nothing bad is happening to anybody who dies no matter how they lived. Our hope as the Bible tells us is in a resurrection, and Jesus taught this hope, explaining that he will call out and everyone in their memorial tombs will come out, both the righteous and the unrighteous, both will be resurrected, the righteous to life and the unrighteous to judgment, not on their past sins, but on what they do during Christ's thousand year reign. Our past sins are forgiven us at our death, for that is what the wages of sin pays, death, so when we die, we are aquitted of those sins, and we will be resurrected back to life on earth during Christ's thousand year reign and we will have the opportunity to then learn the truth and make our descision to serve God and accept his Son's sacrifice that forgives all sins and opens the way to everlasting life on a restored paradise earth. You have this same opportunity placed before you, you actually live at a time where you may never have to die at all as being a survivor of Armageddon with God's help. Look for this knowledge at www.watchtower.org or visit your nearby Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and learn the truth that Jesus taught about God's Kingdom that he taught everyone to pray for in the Lord's Model Prayer in the book of Matthew. You can see and live with your loved ones again for all eternity in perfection.

I don't believe that the end of this life is the end of all our chances. The bible talks about Jesus teaching people in spirit prison. Why would He bother teach them if they were totally lost, and had no hope for improving their situation?

That's what comforts me.
