Windows media player keeps freezing?

Question

Can anyone help me I have a DVD disc with approx 600 songs on, I am trying to copy them back on to my PC but Windows Media Player keeps freezing when I select the songs to put in the My Music folder, I have managed to get about 300 back on to my PC but it wont let me do anymore and when I play the disc thru WMP it keeps missing but plays perfectly thru Nero, even Nero will not do the disc and it is perfect with no damage and I have transferred them back and forth several times before. I am running WMP 11, I have cleaned, scanned, and defragged my PC but to no avail. Please help, Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.

What format are the songs on the DVD?

If they're WMA/WAV/MP3 or some other computer file can't you copy them straight using the windows explorer. If you wanted to convert them later to WMA you could do that using the audio converter for windows media player.

try downloading a new windows media player from the microsoft website or copy the music to a different file location =P hope this helps!

I'm not sure what to say.

WMP 11 works great for me. I use it to do music management all the time.

Maybe your memory or hard drive is too full? Maybe you downloaded a virus somehow?

Or maybe the CD has some limit that allows only a managed number to get through?

look in start up>administration Panel>gadget>device supervisor> and you will see a device tree. seek for Yellow or purple flags on the tree. they generally mean lacking or broken drivers. in case you're lacking motherboard drivers, bypass to Asus. in case you're lacking video drivers, bypass to Sapphire or AMD and get carry of/setting up. No flags skill each thing is robust. If no flags are got here upon, bypass to start>administration Panel>Sound> and verify you have the splendid sound output device set as default, i.e. audio gadget, headset, and and so on.
