If you believe in subjective science, or see global warming as a political argument, like us vs. neoconservative/religious right type, then you should buy high in the rocky mountains.

If you use objective science as your guide, then you can buy any where you can find a good deal.

it is predicted that the water levels will rise at least 28 inches, but that will be gradual and 28 inches may not seem like a lot, but don;t forget tides.

I would go at least 100 ft above sea level

Above 50 feets from sea level. Greenland melting will raise 20ft and Antartic will raise another 20ft. Put another 10 ft between the water and your home that make 50 feets.

That depends. If you pay attention to the science and think wwe will shift our technology over to alternative means of producing energy--a few feet is enough.

If you are a cynic about the liklihood of real chanes in policy and energy production--about 10-20 feet.

If you are a neoconservative/religious right type who opposes any changes--buy land at sea level.
