What are the care tips for a foot tattoo, I am curious?

My foot tattoo made my 13th one, but I have never had issues with any tattoos except this one. Only because I am a moron and went and got it anyways with having tendinitis in both my feet (tattoo is on the right foot). I got it done Weds. night and it is still somewhat red, swollen and stiff, making it difficult to walk if I need to. I am taking 800MG ibuprofens, putting ice under it, and keeping it elevated. I was wondering if anyone had any more advice on how to make it easier to walk around, and how long my foot is going to be like this. LOL. It is irritating my roommates because I cannot wear a shoe or anything to go out places with them. For the ones wanting to know if it hurt.... I will put it this way, for my past 12 tattoos, I have never made a noise, never moved, never twitched, never made any slight notice that I was in pain. But with this one, I couldn't help but to not make a sound that sounded like I was absolutely in pain.

I would say go along with your normal aftercare routine, wear something like loose flip flops just dont let them rub too much, but the sandal touching it wont hurt it as long as you keep your tattoo clean and moist.
I always get worried in the healing process too, you'll be fine.

I like your tat it's cute,mine is the similar pattern but mine is a milky way with stars,it hurt like hell but i managed to"take it like a champ" as my tat artist said.

My artist said that the foot takes the longest to heal since it is furtherst away from the heart.I just got mine done yesterday and the swelling has gone down and it's isn't red.My guy told me that A+D ointment works the best since tats on the feet won't heal for about 2/3 weeks. A+D can be found in the baby section,it's diaper rash cream. Apply about 5 times a day. If you have to wear socks or shoes apply the ointment and wrap it up in saran wrap then tape it off then put your socks back on.I totally think you should get it so it will help heal it faster before it get infected.

nice tat. u should really contact the place where u had it done and ask what kind of after care products they can recommend. also if the swelling doesn't go away, u may want to see a doctor. tattoos normally take about 2-3 weeks to heal but with tendinitis in your foot it may take longer.
