my husband has had a lot of trouble in this state how do you go about filling a freedom act against the sherriff department or DSS in South Carolina?

I suggest that you contact an attorney. There are pro bono (free) programs available to get advice and counsel if you qualify financially (low income). Also try Ask-a-Lawyer available to anyone via the SC Bar Association. There is usually a long wait, but it's worth it. Links are below.

if you mean freedom of information act??
why-about what?
information of arrest and arrest records are available as a public information under the freedom of informations act 1973--holding gov accountable for what records use to be private are now public and open records to the public????
