Mine is also Amy Lee of Evanescence. She has a beautiful voice with an amazing range. I don't have nearly the kind of range she does in relation to lower notes, but I match her okay in the higher notes.

Good Morning Ladymoonlight! I nominate Gladys Knight as my favourite female singer. So much soul in that voice!Followed by Anastasia, who possesses an earthy richness and honesty with her powerful ballads. There are others who I admire, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Huston and not forgetting the haunting and beautiful voice of Eva Cassidy. Quite a collection you may say, but any woman that can reach deep down inside of me with her voice and lyrics gets my vote.

I like female singers a lot. At least the ones with the pure clean voices. Mines propably Sarah Mclachlan. I liked listening to her early stuff. Check out the song The Path of Thorns. I really like it.

When I was very young I loved Joan Baez. In time I have loved to listen to Annie Lennox, and Corrine Bailey Rae (did I spell that right?), I have enjoyed Madonna records without particularly liking her.

Mariah Carey, when she's at her peak that is.
Her technique is almost, flawless and even if she does simple songs she really emotes the songs.. Don't think any other singer these days can be as good, or even half as good as her..
