It doesn't have to be a poem if you convey the theme with pretty paper and tea pot graphics, etc.

Rhyming poems are just really unnecessary.

Wait-- do you mean tea party is what the THEME is, or that's what's going to be SERVED? That's two different things! If you are not serving a meal, that needs to be made clear.

You do not mention gifts on an invitation....that's very rude. You definately need to delete that line and replace it with something else. Otherwise you have a good start.

Is she that kind of girl? I am definately not the cutesy poem type of gal so having one of those on my invites would be really wierd...just something to think about.

The went on dates she liked his kiss
Now Jane will no longer be Miss
He proposed and she said YES!
And we knew for this party the Sheraton would be best
So join us on the 8th of July
Come and enjoy some cake and pie
to shower the happy bride with wishes
For soon our Jane will be Mrs.

Why not look at bridal shower cards in stores for inspiration. You shouldn't copy them directly, but you could use them as a guide.

The gift thing HAS to go...plus "along" is one word, not two.
