I mean - its bad for them...and I DO feel sorry for them, but its like they're using their probably dead daughter to gain attention from the media..."look at us - our daughter is missing" - YEAH, WHAT ABOUT THAT POOR RUNAWAY KID I JUST RAN OVER IN MY BUS?! - NOBODY CANCELS FILMS BECAUSE THEY MAY UPSET HIS PARENTS...who are devastated by the way...

I reckon they both have Munchausen syndrome by proxy and they've got her locked up in that church...

The vast majority of the stories in the press have come from the family rather than any other source.

Fancy being famous for child neglect and revelling in it!!

At least the fund is now to put out an advertising campaign to renew the search for poor Madeleine but I can't help feeling that the McCanns and the family members should not be involved with the fund now given the spin and all their interference!!!

Whether the McCanns are guilty or not - the family have caused a large part of the problem and should back off and give the fund and the search to independent people.

Why had it taken so long for the fund to start spending money to find her when it would have been far more likely to get a result if it had been done earlier.

I do hope that the charity commission is keeping a close eye on this!!!

The whole thing is very bizarre. It's hardly possible to believe that 2 GP's would think it okay to leave their offspring in an unlocked hotel room. Between them they earnt £120,00 I heard, but they still don't think to use the resort baby sitting service! So for them to turn around and act all sanctimonious is really something! It's been four months since their daughters dissapearance so of course the police will be wanting to go over things again. Part of me thinks their plan backfired and they never thought the enquiry would turn against them. If it were my daughter, I would just co-operate to get on with it and keep the search going forward without all the hooha! Will feel guily if they are innocent but they still deserve to be locked up for leaving their children unattended in a foreign country.

I've said this before and so I am saying it again. What kind of parents drug their kids so they can go out?. The father admitted it after denying it. What other things have they lied about?.
We know that Maddie could be wilful, but what 3 year old isn't?.
I would not leave my children in a strange place on their own, at night whilst I went drinking, even if I was only 100 yards away.
Children wake up, frightened and want their mummy. Well, they do if they haven't been drugged.
Perhaps Maddie wouldn't take her liquid cosh, became difficult, parent lashes out, child falls and bangs her head and dies.
They then dispose of the body in panic and concoct the story of the abduction. It smells too fishy to me.

Totally, the whole thing has just gotten kind of ridiculous now. Those two people did something to that poor child and they don't even have the brains to admit it, I won't say the humanity to admit it, because if they had any of that, the little girl would still be here. Why they weren't the prime suspects from day one, I don't know. And that thing with them meeting the Pope was just disgusting.

I reckon they buried her on the beach that night. Whos's gonna take much notice of people digging on the beach eh? And its easy to dig and settles quicker than earth.
Munchausens a good theory but they havent done anything to the two other kids...... She cant be in the church mate, so scrap that idea. I reckon they killed her and got rid of her though so they didnt get sacked from the medical profession. Killing your kid by accident dont look too good on your CV.
To all those do gooders that think she was abducted, wake up n smell the coffee.... Theres not much of a chance they are innocent and I reckon they are gonna crack soon.....might have a bet on that with WillHill....hmmmm *wonders on odds*
I feel sorry for the baby Her sicko parents left her open to all kinds of assault by leaving her alone....and now shes gone....and thats gonna be on their conscience tilthe day they die. I dont feel sorry for them one little bit.
As for films better to release em, might jog peoples minds to the original case...like a reconstruction you see on crimewatch, y'know.

Thank you Doctor for your input.

Nice to see such understanding and awareness of all the aspects laid out for Joe Public ~ much of which may be very inaccurate or even, dare I say, wrong!

I have had my own thoughts about this from day one and i'm afraid that they are negative where the McCanns are concerned. That being said don't we owe that little girl an explanation.
