Scientists know that the solar magnetic cycle is warming up the entire solar system while temperatures over the last 50 years tend to go down with the increases in CO2. So, who is making money off the "humans are the cause" myth. How do we "follow the money?" How can an ordinary guy make money while the making is good? This is like the Alar scare and the cancer-causing cell phone thing. Besides Gore, who else is making money off this?

First - Oil corporations are making a mint off of this so called global warming. Not only are they raking in the money because congress is placing limits on new drilling, but they are also getting massive gvmt subsidizes for new energy sources.

And let's not forget that Algore's family wealth is from their holdings in Occidental Petroleum

Second are the "scientist" who depend on funding from the gvmt. These people would be no where without their gvmt funds.

And there are those "scientist" who sell their endorsement to political candidates. Dr. James Hansen sold his endorsement for a cool quarter million bucks in pure profit.

Then there are the media who perpetuate the myth for subscription sales.

And let's not forget the politicians who keep us in a constant state of fear in order that they can "protect" us from the boogie man.

Magnetism has virtually no effect on global warming - for all intents and purposes the atmosphere is not magnetic.

The entire solar system is not warming up, most of it is cooling (as would be expected) but some parts are cooling faster than expected.

There is no solar constant so the sun can be eliminated.

Temps over the last 50 years have gone up, their rise correleates with the rise in CO2.

STOP MAKING THINGS UP! If you're unable to come up with evidence to refute anthropogenic global warming then don't make it up, it not only makes you look dumb but does nothing for the credibility of those who question AGW on a serious and intelligent level.

As for who is making money - mainly governments that have imposed taxes and other financial penalties. It's hard to obtain all the figures needed to give an precise answer but between 2 and 4 times as much money is being collected by governments than is being spent on global warming related issues.

Guaranteed, someone will mention scientists obtaining grants. Also guaranteed, they won't have any evidence to support this claim. Fact - there is more money for the scientists if they switched to research in pharmacuticals, petrochemicals, defence, medicine etc. If it was all about the money they wouldn't be climate scientists.

scientist who perpetuate it get huge grants from the government, if your speaking against man made global warming you get nothing. also the real money will come when co2 taxes are implemented and who gets that money? the united nations of course. it would be trillion dollar year windfall. adn they could by pass the united states funding altogether. not that wasn't the plan of the us in the first place, they just haven't reached all the other goals first that is why co2 tax is still waiting to be implemented. the united states hasn't achieved certain objectives, after all it is the us/britain world power that will breath the power into the un when it is ready.

A lot of people are making money on this matter. Thats is one reason so much interest is there. Look at the ads put out by utilities these days about what you should buy to be a good green person-spend more money on junk they want to sell.
