popcorn itself is not very fattening at all and salt contains no fat however it does cause you to retain water. Watch your salt intake and good luck on your diet.

Salt isn't fattening, but the popcorn can be. It's the oil in the popcorn that is fattening. Air-popping is the best bet.

Funnily enough salted popcorn is more fattening than sweet popcorn - I think because you have to use more oil for salted? Have some if you fancy just think in moderation! Its not that bad fo you and there are worse snacks out there!

Popcorn is high-fiber and the way to eat it on your diet is to have a cup of dry-popped corn with no fat on it. The salt will probably not stick to it, but then the salt will cause you to retain water, adding to the weight on the scale in the morning. However, if you want the salt, you can spray a bit of olive oil or spray oil on it and add a bit of salt. Good luck on that diet.

Popcorn is mostly air, 33 calories a cup. Salt has no calories. The only way you can make popcorn fattening is by adding butter or caramel

I don't really understand why so many people use Answers for this type of question. Just type ' calories popcorn' and Google comes straight up with the answer!
A cup of salted popcorn is about 40 calories.

Get the low fat microwave kind. Salt is not fattening, it's the oil they use to pop and flavor the popcorn.

Yes, because salt esp salted foods cause water retention in the body, and you become deprived. The body thinks it needs more food so it gives u signals to eat more food. When you eat salted popcorn, try drinking 3 glasses of water after.
