Go to your vet. They do these great "one spot" treatments now like Program or Frontline. You put a little bit on the back of the cat's neck (where it can't lick it off) and job's done for at least a month. The vet will do it for you if you're a bit unsure. I use them and never have flea problems (and have 3 cats!)
By the way don't bother with the stuff you can by in shops, it never works, you end up with less money and still have the flippin fleas!!!

A $10 dose of Advantage from the vets will get rid of them for almost 2 months, getting you past the flea season and into a calm winter.

Go to your nearest pet center and pick up Bio-Spot for cats. It works very well. Don't but the cheaper ones because they don't work nearly as well. By the way it's fleas not flees.

If you're brave enough, you can bathe your cats with Dawn dish washing liquid until you can purchase one of the flea control products mentioned. Dawn is completely safe & it kills fleas immediately.

A good, quick flea dip from the vet. Get them quickly...and then you will probably have to spray your carpets with a spray to kill fleas...also from the vet. Fleas can kill them eventually.

If you by an insect bomb and bomb the house it'll kill all of the bugs and then the fleas will die from loneliness.
