We are fortunate in our area to have a recycler that pays you for glass, so we recycle. We got some 50 barrels and made stamping rod. We place brown bottles in one container, and clear and green bottles in another and break them up with the stamper till ground down. Our recycler pays .23 - .28 cents per pund of crushed glass, at about an average of 200 pounds per week, we make an extra $50.00 . , and no we are not alcoholics, we do this at the bar we worked at.

take them to any supermarket and use the bottle machine and get back 5 cents for each bottle. simple. dont throw and trash them away. each bottle is 5 cents, and if you have 20 in qty that is $1 right there. you can put it towards more beer purchases. those nickles add up.

Im lucky. In Michigan we get 10 cents back per can. If your state doesnt offer a deposit system like that put them in a recycling bin.

We are charged at 10 cent deposit where I am from and I return them for the money. I like my money too much to just throw the bottles away.
