You're the only children of your god. I'm sure another species, if it believes in a god at all, would have a completely different idea of who and what god is.

The Bible does not say if there is life on other planets. It simply says that God created the heavens and earth and put man on it. But this silence on the subject does not require that earth is the only place with life on it. But then again, this doesn't mean there is life out there, either.
If I'm a potter I make 1 Pot out of one kind of clay; form it for a specific purpose, glaze it in a particular way, even fire it at a particular temperature. But the next pot may or may not be formed out of that same clay, may be for a different purpose (a different "plan"), glazed differently and even fired at a different temperature. I'm still the potter for each, but each is independent of the other and each formed according to different purposes (potentially). we don't know, for sure, that there are or are not sentient beings on other planets (although I would not be at all surprised);
If there are sentient beings on other planets, we have no idea what their "plan" for salvation is, whether it involves a Messiah, a substitutionary death, or anything else we (on earth) know as "salvation." The bottom line is, we are given OUR path to salvation; we don't know if or about others' plans on other planets...only on this one.

Scripture tells us that God is Ruler of the Universe and Lord of the Worlds (note: worlds - plural). So that tells us there must be more worlds than just Earth in the Universe, and why would God be ruler of them if there was no one there?
In my opinion this planet is the Universe's lunatic asylum for the criminally insane. How else could you explane all the horrible events which happen here?

When there is proof of life on other planets all organized religion on this planet will be in turmoil.. We are not the unseen beings chosen species because there is no great spirit.
But believe what you choose to believe as all others have the same right to choose or not choose a religious belief.

I agree with Allen. SOME of us are God's children. (Those who have accepted His Son, Jesus). The rest, at the moment, belong to the god of this world.

I guess that sounds a little reasonable...but I don't think we are God's children...so either way it works out I guess....
