I like Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, but I like the co-ordinated stuff. The music that actually has some talent. I like almost all types of music. Jazz and Blues etc. I'm going to make a Blues compilation CD for work and I need some song ideas. The music i'm listening to isn't as audible with certain equipment operating, so I figured Blues music wouldn't synchonize it's rhythm to the machinery etc. What's some good blues music?

Jimi Hendrix has a lot of bluesy music, most tracks from his albums are blues songs, or blues influenced. Stevie Ray Vaughan is an excellent blues musician, Buddy Guy, Howlin' Wolf, B.B. King, Albert King... etc.

Are you talking about "The Blues"? BB King, Muddy Waters, Percy Sledge, Etta James, Billie Holiday, T Bone Walker, Johnny Lee Hooker. Their are so many really good honest blues that I can't think of them all.

One of my favorite electric blues album [released in 1971] and is available in CD format is "Endless Boogie" by
John Lee Hooker.
I challenge anybody to come up with an CD as great as this one.

If you want the real story from the real thing himself, get a DVD called "Honeyboy" the story of David "Honeyboy"Edwards. This is a five star documentary not just about the man himself, but the story of how it all began. He was there when it all happened; he knew Robert Johnson and even played with him. I strongly recommend this and another classic, "The Howlin' Wolf story". Outstanding reference material. BTW, Honey is still alive and well and still performs live - at the tender age of 94!

Man, if it is strong rhythm stuff you are looking for, I suggest John Lee Hooker and Bo Diddly

If you like lots of great guitarwork, then try some of these artists:

SRV - "Texas Flood" - live at the El Mocambo

Cream - "Crossroads" - very young Eric Clapton

For acoustic blues:

Jimi Hendrix - "Hear My Train A-Coming":

well, if you like metal, start with alice in chains
their pretty blues-y and metal
and the white stripes are kind of blues-rock

but the best blues, in my opinion, are muddy waters, robert johnson, son house, and bb king

but muddy waters is the best
