i think they are officially called "VW micro buses" and i'm looking for one that works. and i can buy it at a reasonable price. it would be cool if it actually WAS a hippie van (from back in the day...)

I think your best bet is to keep an eye on ebay. I saw a couple of gorgeous ones on there a few weeks ago.

Trivia: Did you know that the '60s style bus is STILL in production? VW still makes them in a factory in Brazil. Check out www.danburymotorcaravans.com It's an English company that converts the Brazilian built busses into campers.

Search Craigslist, AutoTrader, etc for VW Buses.
My Family had 4 over the years, 1964, 1969, 1973, 1978 models, and they were terrific.
You MAY have to search fairly wide, I doubt the Tennessee winters and the salt on your roads would be good for finding buses IN TN.

check listings in california for volkswagons they have all kinds of vw clubs out there and you should have no problems finding one out there,I live in south carolina and there is a place called vintage auto in greenville south carolina they deal in nothing but vw and honda and they have older bugs and buses from time to time.So call information and get there number and give them a call.

Well I would definately continue checking ebay on a day to day basis..... if no luck then I garantee you will find something on www.thesamba.com I am on this site all day long....thousands of volkswagens and part....
