You should try Kabobs. Take the Extra Firm tofu and marinate it over night in a tariyaki marinade. (Trader Joe's sells a good one) Put it in skewers with any veg you choose. Cook on a grill pan or outside grill. You can also try the same tofu but add it to stir-fry. Fried tofu is also good. Marinate the tofu cut up small,in some soy sauce, chili oil, crushed chili pepper, tariyaki, garlic, ginger. Heat a good amount of oil in a heavy duty pan. Make sure the oil is hot. Add the tofu and let it get crispy on the side down before flipping. Turn them care fully and let them brown and get crunchy. You can eat them with a spicy sweet and sour sauce or a peanut sauce. Any thing really they are even good alone or with rice. Enjoy!

Here's a recipe I use that I got from VegWeb (www.vegweb.com).

You do want to freeze and press your tofu for the best texture.

1 block tofu (about 14 oz)
1/4 cup nutritional yeast (most natural foods stores carry it)
2 tbsp flour
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
chopped scallions
a couple of handfuls of frozen bell pepper strips (or 1/2 fresh bell pepper, cut into strips)
1 tbsp capers, or to taste

Fry tofu on both sides until it starts to brown a bit. Add nutritional yeast and flour and stir to coat. Add lemon juice, soy sauce, and vinegar and stir until liquid is absorbed and tofu slices are coated. Add veggies and cook until peppers are tender crisp.

Serve with rice or a baked potato.

I use extra firm tofu as a substitute for chicken in General Tso's chicken...SOOO GOOD!

And try using Silken Tofu to make a smoothie, it's so creamy and yummy!

Insanely easy tofu.

Cut a block of tofu into cubes. (Leave the block stacked.)
Top with chopped scallion.
Pour shoyu over the tofu and scallions fairly liberally.
Top the lot with bonito flakes.

Sssssccurp!!!
