When scientist talk about global warning they are too serious and they talk about earth and our future and life. It is not some thing to poke fun at but it is like no thing happened.

Because no obvious effects are happening to people now.
Because most people will never see the north polar ice pack and hearing that it is shrinking on the news is about as interesting as hearing about senator so and so blabbing about interest rates on the national debt.
Because the scientists cannot agree on how bad the effects will be.
Because a 1 foot sea level rise in 100 years just does not sound very dangerous.
Because the proposed fix is to reduce CO2 emissions by 90% in the next 50 years, which would require using 90% less fuel in 50 years. Do you want 90% of the gasoline you need in your car to get to work taken away from you? I don't.

The sun is the cause of global warming. Humans have little, if any effect on something as monumental as the temperature of a planet. The scientists you refer to are the ones who receive grants and other money to promote a cause. They are "Gore scientists". Reputable scientists know that humans have little if any impact on global warming. You should read more than just knee-jerk popular magazine articles. Global warming is happening. That is a fact. But there is nothing we can do about it unless we can alter the sun's magnetic cycles. I think most people on earth are simply unconvinced that we can or will do anything to affect global warming, and, if we could, it would cost each of us too much money. Who wants to give up soft drinks, hamburgers, television, air conditioning, cars, central heating, trees, oceans, and all the other sources of "green house gases"?

I recently read an article that stated many scientists do not believe that the current global warming is caused by humans but in fact is a natural cycle of climate change. I agree. However, us humans can certainly make it worse by continuing on our path of environmental destruction and wasteful practices. It is easy to become confused about what is truth surrounding global warming when it seems that neither the news media nor our illustrious leaders are as interested in the truth as they in promoting their own agendas. This usually is about self promotion.

Global warming is a fact and how much it affects us depends on what we choose to do about it.

It is serious as the path we choose affects our very existence. To be or not to be? That is the question.

You sound young. Get used to it. You'll find that the Earth is going to end about every 10 years.

This will pass, global warming will go the way of Y2K, SARS, Avian Flu, the Gypsy Moth, Ozone hole, etc....

This is a joke right?

You do know that's being circulated by the Ego Protection Agency?

Aren't they the people who fined other people, evacuated a block, and quarantined a school for a week because some kid broke a thermometer?

What needs to be done is fixing the problem and not alarming everyone about it. The problem can be fixed but no one wants to do anything that would be helpful. Harping about CO2 doesn't fix anything and that seems to be what everyone wants to do.
