Well, you should get moose it works better.
but you put enough in your hands to get enough in all of your hair then just run it through your hair with your fingers then just kind of squeeze the hair tightly in your hands several times if you do it right it will be what you want. then apply hairspray to keep it in shape.

It might not be possible if you hair is really long- you might need to have some hair salon expertise in theform of a hair cut - just taking a couple of inches off could lighten it up. Also I'd suggest a volumising shampoo. If hair restyle not an option then don't comb it through too much - try to keep thicker sections of hair for your curls - it is much tamer. After applying a light product (perhaps a little mousse then serum such as Frizz-ease?) and scrunch it with you head /hair upside down, again, being careful not to separate into too many frizzy strands. I would not recommend gel as it will weigh your hair down - there are products such as TIGI bedhead which 'muss up' /separate your hair and are quite light. the pantene 'layers' stuff is also meant to bring out the different layers AND textures in your hair. :-)

I suggest getting a hair voulmizing shampoo.. suave sells one for under $1.50. But if time is of the essence I suggest showering, with shampoo NO conditioner, then towel dry lightly. Then get your gel turn your hair upside down and apply while scrunching in your fingers, then add a little hair spray.. let dry naturally. I also, have straight hair that looks like straw at times and this works for me. Good Luck.

ur not alone...I have the same kinda problem, but the solution is to come out if the shower. Squeeze the excess water out and wait until your hair is dry. Then use GEL(long hold kind is the best!) this will take patience so bare with me... Squeeze the gel onto your hands and go throught your ahir. If you want to keep the curls nice and neat then use a hair dryer....
Good luck! ^^ worked for me...

to scrunch your hair, leave it slightly damp then use mousse or gel and scrunch. I find mousse works better than gel. Also, try keeping your hair in french braids over night. This will give it some wave when you take the braid out so that will help with the scrunching.

Try tressemme curl locking gel. That's what I use and at first its like hard/crunchy but after a while just keep scrunching it and that feeling should go away.
