when i was little i would frequently walk in my sleep. i would clime down my bunk bed, open the door, walk down the stairs, open my parents door, go into their bedroom, and just start talking or panicing about something, lol.

thats another thing, i talk so much in my sleep too! every night, no joke!
i scream, yell, talk, sing, walk, laugh, dance, move a LOT, cry, respond to people talking or asking me questions, anddd so on. i think you get the point.

i'm not asking if i have a problem, but does anyone know what causes it? my friends think i'm crazy. one time i was at my friends and while i was asleep, she was on the phone asking someone questions and i was answering them! in my sleep! lol. and then i just started laughing. and i never remember ANY of this. and i know for a fact i do these weird things in my sleep every night because most of the time ill just wake up after screaming or talking and im like..wtf?! hahah. and none of my other friends do these things.

why do i?

I am 43 yrs old and have slept walked and talked to anyone and everyone (even on the phone) while sleeping.
I work with a doctor who does sleep studies and he laughs at my shinnanigans at nite. He says I need a sleep study. Recently, I dreampt my house was caving into a hole in the ground and I jumped up out of bed and ran downstairs to check the house in my sleep. I woke up when I got into the family room on the lower level and went back to bed.
I once got into my closet in my sleep and could not get back out. I vaguely remember getting hung up on the closet door.
The doctor says sleep study would he helpful for me. I just dont want to be made fun of. Thats all.
I also have a sister who does the same thing. She thinks its stress related. She has actually left the house and went outside.

there is still not enough studies done/data known on why people sleep walk

I wonder if taking a prescribed sleeping pill would help you stop the movements and talking?
ask you MD to give you a sample ..to see

I pity your bf for trying to get a good night sleep, sleeping with you LOL

I sleep talk ALOT! So my dpfamily stopped reporting it to me when I do. My sister laughs and cries in her sleep, it somewhat is hilarious, and mom purely snores. One time I farted myself wide awake, embarrassing, yet actual.
