I had a dog that used to eat the cats poop. He was always fine. But I am sure its not good for them. I do not think a little bit can harm them. I would call the vet to make sure. But If possible keep the cat box away room the dog and tell the dog NO. But smalls amount every now and then if the dog gets into it should not hurt the dog.

I think that a dog believes kitty poops fresh out of the litter box is a delicacy. All it is is the food the cat ate along with digestive juices. Unless the cat has eaten something poisonous, I wouldn't worry about it. (If the cat is acting weird, or is sick then I would be worried about what he ate, and what your dog is now eating! Savy?)
One thing I would be concerned about them sharing would be worms. The eggs can be found in the stools. If your dog eats them, guess who has worms next?
I always discouraged my dogs from going anywhere near the poop box. I feed them good dog food and an occasional treat so I don't think they need the "kitty treats rolled in litter made of who knows what". Good Luck!! Habits are hard to break.

I'm sure it could happen, causing the dog to become ill if the cat had any kind of health issue. Besides it being disgusting, when the dog wants to lick your face, it's not the most sanitary thing. Get a covered litter box if you don't have one. When the dog gets near, say a stern "no" lift her up an d take her away from the box. She will soon break the habit if you are consistent.

Probably nothing very serious except that she may develop intestinal disease.
You have to stop her from doing it.
The next time your cat poos, apply chillies or mustard or something bitter but not poisonous on the poo and leave it for a while. When your chihuahua tries to eat it she will not like it and hopefully, she will not try to eat it again. The best thing is to remove the poop as soon as your cat poos.
Good luck.

If your cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and gets some kind of parasites your dog could get the same parasites by eating the cat poop. Try putting a lid on your litter box or putting it up high somewhere where your dog can't get to it.

While this is common it isn't healthy for the dog. Put the litter somewhere that the dog cannot get to it. Maybe a laundry room with a baby gate that will let the cat get to it but not the dog?

Don't let her do that! Put that littler box up on a box or card table, anything to keep it away. I don't think your dog will die from it, but she may throw up your cats poop all over the house.

This is a gross but normal dog behavior. Fix the cat box so the dog can't get into it.

it is normal behavior for a dog. cat poop is considered a delicasy for dogs. but it's dangerous. there is the risk of your chihuawa getting worms or other things that cats have that will hram you dog's health.
