You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when told that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

You have defined a circular argument.
God wrote the bible.
The Bible says god is perfect.
Therefore god is perfect.
Exhibiting poor debate skills.

Well is it so hard to believe? Let us think for a minute..... Did this planet not start off as just a big heated rock, eventually forming volcanoes, dirt and being hit by comets with water to spark life? So there is proof in Bible and Science we come from dirt is there not? The material world is nothing without the spiritual world our bodies come from dirt our souls from God this is perfectly understandable.

What do you feel about all this? Do you feel you came from a one-celled animal, like the aemeba and then went from that to say a tadpole and on up the food chain list?
Most people go by what their inner soul tells them. I , like others, feel the Bible is written by my Creator. And it says in the Bible that God created man from the dust of the earth.
Enough said.

If we evolved we would still be evolving but.....we aren't. So there goes that theory. We weren't just created from dirt, God gave us the "breath of life". And our skin, which is continuously flaking off, flows in the air just like dirt particles, which you can ask any anatomy person and they will confirm this. When we die, our skin and body gets decomposed and returns into the ground, just like the Bible said.

We don't. Who even said we did? Personally the evolutionists are entitled to believe what they want, but I would not want my child to be taught this, thankfully my parents took me out of public school in 4th grade and started homeschooling me, so I wouldn't be brainwashed with it!
It is a Christians duty to want to tell you the truth about the Bible and spread the gospel! We are to care that people will be going to hell! God Bless
That why the Bible says to "love thy neighbor as thy self"!

I think a better question is why do you find it better to think you came from a monkey rather than from being created out of longing for someone to love and share with, regardless of the material I was made from I will choose being created out of love any day, rather than choosing to believe I was just an accident or freak of nature.

First of all, although the idea of creationism is ridiculous to me (intelligent design makes much more sense, if you /must/ believe), I'm fine with it as long as people understand what the theory of evolution states.
"If we evolved we would still be evolving but.....we aren't."
Answer me this: is someone with a genetic disease that makes him or her sterile, likely to pass on that disease to children?
Obviously not, since s/he is sterile.
That's called natural selection.
The theory of evolution states that it happens over thousands of years, not decades or even centuries. It's all based on how quickly human beings have children.

Well there is a difference in HOW we were created vs what we were made from....
Evolution = ancestor with other primates
Creation = God made us
Very different.

Don't generalize. There are lots of creationists who believe in evolution, and have no qualms about accepting the possibility that humans and apes have a common ancestor.
I'm one of them.
