Actually, I think it's "dew" claws - and they are the claw that is kind of half-way up on the inside of the dog's ankle. Many people have them removed when the dogs are pups because, since those claws never touch the ground, they aren't kept filed-down by the dog's regular walking on hard surfaces, etc. And then, they can continue to grow and poke back inito the surface of the leg (causing pain) or can catch on things and tear - also causing pain.
Hope this helps.

Dew Claws are those claws on the side of a dog's paws, the long ones that are like underdeveloped toes. Many dogs have them removed as puppies as they can get caught on things and tear.

they are the claw thats not on the paw of the dog, they are a couple of inches above it. Some people get the claw removed from their dogs but not all.

They are the claws that are on the inner part of the front legs that are up above the claws on their paws. Almost (to me) looks in the position where a humans thumb would be.

They are called dewclaws and are the little toe and nail on the inside of the foot, sort of like a "thumb". Most dogs have them in the front, some in the back.

there extra claws on the back of there paw if they do have them then they should go to the vet and get them off cause they are a bit dangerous cause if it gets caught to something They could rip it off and it would start to bleed so most people get them off
