I'm going on holiday to florida september 20th- october 4th, will they be seeling egg nog sometime then??

In regular stores it will beginning selling sometime in November before the holiday season. My suggestion to you is to go to a liquor store they should have some on hand at all times. Hey, it's worth a try don't you think?

You can find the canned egg nog year round in the canned milk aisle. Borden makes it, brown can w/ photo of egg nog on the front. Usually very top or very bottom shelf.
The fresh stuff in the dairy cooler doens't go on sale until mid-November.

Try making your own.Here is a great recipe I found in an old Williamsburg cookbook.
6 eggs,separated
1/2 cup sugar
2cups whipping cream
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup bourbon
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup light rum
nutmeg
Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until thick.
Slowly add the cream,milk and spirits.
Chill.
Whip the egg whites until soft peaks form and slowly blend into mixture.
Leave to chill for a few hours.
Sprinkle with nutmeg just before serving.
Enjoy!

I don't know where you live, I'm in CO and I'm counting on it being on shelves by then. I mean gosh darn they had Halloween stuff out last month. But I digress.
Here in CO we have a convenience store chain called Farmcrest, they deal with the usual convenient store stuff but have fresh dairy products. Places like that will be quicker on the ball than your major food stores. I'm betting most big cities still have places like that.
But in FL, that's a tough guess. Here's an option you might try: http://www.dairyfreshcorp.com/Locations.aspx Contact them and ask when they start shelving it in stores.

Probably in November, but you can make your own. Lots of good recipes online. I'm sure all the ingredients will be available in Florida.
