How would I say "online"? As in, 'I like to talk online'. Or "instant message"....just something along those lines.

And...another random question: if I have a female cat, do I still say "mon chat"?

No online translations, please, and thank you in advance =]

for "on line" you can say 'en ligne', 'j'aimerais chater' 'message instantané';
yes, you'd still say 'mon chat' you could use the femal form, but, I'd not do it, at least not on the web.

"En ligne" is On line.

I like to talk online would be "J'aime parler en ligne ou sur l'internet" basically.

Yes, 'mon chat' stays even if it's a female cat and same with dogs because chienne isn't along the lines of a typical daily noun in the French language. :P

Hope I could help!
