Your creator is only imaginary. Don't ever sit back and wait for his assistance on anything.

Humans have not advanced under their own power the last 100 years. Some say God gave us increased amounts of knowledge. Yes, our knowledge has exploded tremendously the last 100 or so years.
However, I don't think it is wholly for our salvation, on the contrary, during the end times the Bible mentions "increased knowledge" and we will think that we are God.
That is a trick of Satan, for he has obtained permission from God to influence the world and one of the ways is through technological advances. How boastful we are when we as a human race say that there are no limits to our abilities when they are granted to us from above.
The increased knowledge could be used for good to spread the gospel as it has been through the internet, global television, and other media.
This new knowledge is also being used to take many souls to hell because it is so inviting, exciting, novel and addicting. It draws souls away from God and his salvation from the world.

Pope Leo XIII had a vision in 1884 where he saw Jesus and Satan having words with each other. Satan said if he were given 100 years, he can bring down the church, Jesus allowed it. After that Pope Leo xlll composed the prayer to St Michael the Archangel.
He also condemned "Modernism" because it is an erronious system of thinking and would suck in millions of christians to loose their salvation.
To prepare for the times ahead you must be ready to live as Noah, Lot, the Apostles, David, Moses, Abraham,Jesus,Mary and the Saints. That is, to live a life of prayer and sacrifice.
All we need is something to happen to our dependency on technology and most will be paralyzed/lost for living so mundanely as worldly creatures.
Remember, for all the things we have so much pride in can be easily be rendered useless by having the electricity cut off.

What? Very little in 10,000 years? Are you joking, or you really such an ungrateful wretch?

Every single one of your ancestors has worked his and her butt off to get you to where you are. Go back more than a couple of hundred years and most of them probably lived short, nasty and brutal lives. Go back ten thousand and most of them worked 14 hours a day just to endure their short, nasty, brutal life.

But through all that, a few people in every generation had the presence of mind and the energy to develop the arts and sciences. Why? To make things better for the next generation. For you, so that you can contemplate your navel and discover your spirituality. Whatever that is.

You are part of the most privileged generations ever, and you attribute it to some nonsense mythical being. Don't you think you owe a little gratitude to those that worked, suffered and died to get you where you are?

If you think there has been no progress in the last 100 years, just try giving up your technological lifestyle, the benefits of modern medicine and the freedoms that society allows and try living like they did in 1907.

It took human brains and sweat to provide this world for you, so get your head out of that black hole, get real and do something for your descendants..

Have you ever read any ancient history? Did you know the Babylonians were incredibly advanced? What about the Egyptians, how do you reckon they built those pyramids? Do you think that people now aren't still caught up in the mundane things of trying to survive. I don't wish to offend you but you must live a very sheltered life.

For every positive there is a negative. Yes I tell my friends that because we are so fortunate, we do not have to spend most our time worrying about food, water and shelter. We have the choice to take this opportunity to concentrate on our spiritual path. How many people choose that? You know the answer to that one, my friend. Many people in the Western world are more disconnected from their spiritual side than ever as the balance of the material world increases exponentially as spirit world for them decreases. Even in recorded history we see how the Romans fell in this trap. All I know is that I need to feed my spirit daily for me to continue on my path, and I seek the company of others that feel the same. It is a huge bonus, though, when I can awaken the sleeping spirituality of another. In fact, its the best feeling in the world. Not by words do I do this but by actions. That is how I improve my spiritual fitness. That is how to be prepared.

Oh yeah, how dare us mere mortals, actually think that we can make advancements without Gods help. The only reason it took so long for humans to take steps forward in science and technology, was because Religions vilified free thought and punished/persecuted those who had different beliefs. Thus, effectively holding our advancement back.
The majority of discoveries that have lead to our current level of knowledge, have occurred since the Church has lost it's power to force people to obey it's doctrines.

Humans have done very well in the past 100 years, we haven't
taken very good care of the earth but we are on a learning curve. Religions have been able to keep us in one war or another.

Their own power. there is no evidence any god exists. Besides, if you look, the times when people were the least religious was when they advanced the most. Look at the most religious point in history (In the western world.) It was called "The Dark Ages" for a reason.

Why would he give us a boost at some random 150 year interval? It really has helped boost overall instances of depression in the industrial world, and really helped expedite genocide, so that's something....
I think alien technology is the more likely answer. Prove me wrong!

We have advanced a lot in the past 100 years because of a number of factors.. I don't think it is any gods that are responsible for this.
