Need suggestions for a good family car.?

Question

I am looking to buy a new family car. There are four members in my family and we currently drive a minivan and desperately want to get something different. We are looking for either a full-size sedan (ford taurus, VW Passat or something like that) or a mid-size to full-size SUV. Gas mileage is also quite an important factor that must be weighed in. We want a car or SUV that is functional, stylish, and is all around safe. Our budget is about $30,000. Any suggestions? Thank you.

With a $30,000 budget, an '08 Taurus will be an excellent choice & you can have money left over!

We have a 1984 Chevrolet Suburban. before you start thinking "Gass Guzzler" hear me out. My Suburban has the GM 6.2 L Diesel engine, and if properly cared for and well maintained, it can get over 20 mpg, even more on the highway.

Its got alot of room, its got the power to carry anything you ever will need to, and it offers a wider range of travel-able places. With 4WD and the ability to travel through water much easier and safer than a gasoline engine, you lessen your chance of your family being stuck or stranded by weather. The size and solid construction will offer superior protection for your family in an accident. Overall, this is what I view as a logical choice, but it is only my opinion. Hope this has helped.

a really good car that i would reccomend is a Lexus gs or ls or for a simple choice is the new style ford mondeo
