i live in the country and every morning on my way to work they are sitting in the middle of the road and don't move. I nearly hit one every morning.

yeah there is more food in the country, but on the road? that doesn't make sense.

Maybe its because there's more wildlife (skunks,squirrel's,rabbit's ,etc...) that are in the country and the black birds are scavaging (sp?) for road kill . Just a guess

MAYBE CAUSE YOUR CAR IS ON ITS LAST LEG AND THEY CAN SENSE THAT TYPE OF THING,AND "BAM" THEY ARE RIGHT THERE FOR THE KILL
