Then go on to say well what about Islam, or Buddhism, etc. How can they deny the existence of God and fight Him with questions of another deity?

Because they are in darkness, and the light of the gospel of God's love has not yet penetrated the veil that covers their hearts.

Besides, they were taught that way from their earliest childhood days.

Some say they don't believe in Jesus, because they don't believe in Jesus.

Some people point out other gods as an example of why they don't believe in Jesus. This is to show (by example) some christians the reasons they do not believe in Jesus. Christians do not believe in the gods of Islam, Buddhism, Hiduism, etc. What is the reason for the christians' disbelief?

If the christian can honestly answer this, they will understand why some people do not, likewise, believe in the christian deity.

I don't understand you, as usual.

What about Islam or Buddhism? Do you mean that some people reject Jesus but maintain an open mind about other religions? Well, maybe those other religions are simply more palatable to those people.

I know you're a black-and-white kind of a guy, and it simply boggles your mind that anybody could have a genuine religious experience in any context other than that of Christianity, and then only the particular brand of Christianity to which you subscribe; but you are wrong.

I certainly reject the dogmatic interpretation of any given religion; but I think it's pointless to deny the reality of the religious experience, and that it occurs in every tradition. I would argue that the devout Christian's "personal relationship with Jesus Christ" is essentially the same experience as that of the devout Muslim who "communes with Allah"; the differences are only differences of terminology.

But within the narrow purview of your religious belief, you're required to believe that any religious experience that isn't specifically "Christian" in character is the work of Satan - just as the Muslim is required to believe of your experience. Hence you'll kill each other over who's really God's homeboy. Sigh.

Buddhism doesn't have a "god". Budda was a person who achieved enlightenment. There is a difference. Other than that, I can't understand why people would reject one god to believe in another. Since there is no proof of any god, what makes one more real than another?

Personally, I believe that Jesus was a man and nothing more. He was a great teacher, but not the son of a god.

Because you don't have to believe in Jesus to be spiritual. Do you know anything about Buddhism? Or Islam? Everyone has their own beliefs, and what they mean is they don't believe in Jesus in the Christianity sense. Notice how each religion is different, and yet, everyone has their own beliefs. Does it matter how other people percieve "Jesus"? Exactly. Hense, why I'm an Athiest.

Very sad.

Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the(((( blindness of their heart:))))
Eph 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Eph 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;

I actually don't really believe that Jesus was completely all that great... Like when he performed miracles, it's not like someone was there to write it down. And we all know when stories are passed down, they become exaggerated, ALOT. Like it could all be an illusion... If anyone here has seen Criss Angel, you'd know that he's a great illusionist and he can walk on water (illusion). I think evolution is true to a certain extent, then God comes in, because someone had to create a human gene. Or else a monkey that just went through birth was deformed and it could walk.

You're asking two different questions there?

1. "Why do SOME say they don't believe in Jesus"

2. "How can they deny the existence of God"

Which one are you wanting an answer to?

God commanded us not to have other gods. That's where the problem begins. Regardless of whether or not someone believes God exists, they end up putting something else before Him...another god, themselves, life on earth, money, etc.! If you put God first, the true meaning of these other gods is realized. You would love all life! You would recognize false teachings! Less priority would be put on material things. These "gods" are all missing what Jesus alone gave us, salvation! They do not have the history, prophecies (look at Israel!), witnesses to back them up. They do not have The Grace of God!

God Bless.

If you discuss religion, you talk about religions. That's how it works. There are a LOT of us out here who have no interest in believing that a human being was ever a deity.
